I applied for a loan and was initially approved for $9,800. During the process, they ran a hard inquiry on my credit and asked for additional bank statements, which I provided showing over $60,000 in transactions within a four-month period.
Two hours after approval, they reversed course, claiming they “couldn’t verify my identity.” They never called or emailed to request basic ID verification (driver’s license, utility bill) items that take seconds to send. When I asked them to remove the hard inquiry since the loan never funded, they refused.
When I tried to escalate to a manager, the representative I spoke with didn’t even know how to transfer me to one.
A hard inquiry with no funded loan and no real attempt to verify identity, followed by a refusal to remove the inquiry, is a red flag. Be cautious before applying here.

If I could give them 0 stars I would!!! I applied a little over a month ago and was approved for a $2k limit. Everything was great. I made my very first payment, ON TIME and the day AFTER my payment fully posted, they dropped my credit limit down to $500!!! The rep said some garbage about too many credit lines or delinquencies which is a lie because I have not gotten a new card nor have I been late on any of my other credit lines!! Now my credit score will drop because they lowered my available credit by $1500!!!! DO NOT fall for this scam card and company. They are not here to help, only to hurt anyone trying to rebuild their credit!!!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!
I make 33 bucks an hour my wife makes 26. We live in Oklahoma, cost of living is very cheap. My credit score is over 740. I wasn't looking for a loan but Prosper offerd me one and it looked good for debt consolidation so I applied, just to get a hard inquiry on my credit and turned down. I did get the loan through my bank, but don't understand why they would offer me one just to turn me down with a mark on my credit by someone on the phone that couldn't even hardly speak English. I feel like this was a scam to sell my information. Also it's funny how bad reviews are labeled unprompted.
