Identity theft / Fraudulent activity…
Identity theft / Fraudulent activity using my personal data I never created an account with Prosper, never checked rates, and never authorized any activity on June 26, 2026. Despite that, I received emails about a loan inquiry (Reference FIC001B58) done in my name. When I contacted them explaining it was fraud, they responded minimizing the issue and claiming it was just a "rate check". This appears to be related to their 2025 data breach. They are not taking proper responsibility for protecting customer data. Very poor handling of a serious identity fraud situation. I do not recommend Prosper at all.

Completely unnecessarily obnoxious
I called with a question about my bill. After she answered my question, the representative badgered me to make a payment by phone even though the bill is current and not due yet. Despite me repeatedly telling her this was obnoxious, she kept pestering me to tell her when I would make my payment. WHICH ISN’T DUE YET!
Waste of time.
They tell you you’re qualified make you go through a bunch of hoops and hard pull your credit just to cancel their offer.
