I've been using Quicken for many years after switching from competing software that was discontinued. It's a great tool and they've done a nice job in recent years of bug fixes and enhancements. I use it for personal finance and rental property management and it's great for both. Highly recommended.
Tracking hundreds of financial institutions’ connections wouldn’t be for the faint-hearted, but Quicken accomplishes that with relative ease and only an occasional misconnection. As an 80-year-old Quicken user of 29 years, I rely on it to keep my accounts updated every day, not only for convenience, but protection. One of my accounts was compromised and suddenly showed charges that I hadn’t made. Because I could see them the day they cleared, i was able to notify the credit card company immediately and have them reversed, that card canceled and a new card issued. I can only imagine the mess had I been waiting for a statement to arrive to see new transactions.
On the occasion that I need to speak with customer service, the Quicken agents are always helpful, even though I don’t ever share a screen. They are patient and kind. Great group of young people.
I use Quicken for our personal finances. The ability to find transactions and create reports is very helpful. There are features that I do not like but do not know how to get rid of. Example: it keeps suggesting that a stock split is missing. I have accounted for it and I always select clear all. It persists every time I update the market. Also, ever account I open, opens ups with a window at the bottom with downloaded transactions, bill and reminders and placeholder entries. I do not like this at all. Lastly, I am disappointed that Quicken has raised it's prices to much. 2023 $59.88; 2024 $71.88; 2025 $77.88 and now 2026 $83.88. That is $24.00 in 3 years.
The guy that helped me was very good, professional, helpful and patient. Did great job. I used the automatic thing for first thing I needed it worked ok but took a lot longer than with a person. Think I will sty with people because of time frame

fix one problem and you create another. While download view is open can not scroll up and down the main register. it always centers the main register whatever is present in the download view. no way to scroll up or down. sometimes want to see future entries.
I've been using Quicken for more than 15 years and without it I'd be lost. I have found their support team to be both very knowledgeable and very patient, helping me with any minor problems that I come across. I would recommend to everyone.

Too expensive
Too expensive. Give people a heads up when the subscription is about to renew. Supposedly there are updates to the program but I never notice what they are because I just do basic account reconciliation. No other features are useful.
I like the core functions but integration is painful
I like the core functions inside Quicken.
I dislike the lack of basic integrations with banks. For example, TD Bank has not been working for two years. I had to manually download and import. For the price I paid, it doesn't make Quicken good.

Quicken is a great product
Quicken is a great product. However, they do not reward loyalty to existing customers. Discounts only for new customers but not for the people who stay with the program year after year. The discount price for new customers is SO MUCH lower than what an existing customer pays.
