Go and use competitors, I regret moving away from Verizon.

A proper disaster: they are interested in selling you their product; you will be on your own after that. If something goes wrong, there is nobody to help; they are unable to help with the simplest request, like getting an additional cable, a wrongly calculated safe score or not intrested to hear that AI does not recognise mobile usage and my drivers learn to cheat it. Conversations take months and lead nowhere. After spending nearly 50K with them, that's shocking to me.

Samsara GPS is a bad choice

Our company has over a hundred trucks and 50 equipment asset trackers installed. A year into the contract Samsara began removing features and saying we had to now pay extra for them. An example is, we were told at the demo about the feature of DOT jurisdiction mileage reporting. Six months into the contract Samsara removed the feature and stated we now have to pay for the feature 10.00 per truck. We have had multiple issues with the mileage readings on the gps platform not matching the trucks and they can't be corrected. What good is the platform if the mileage is not correct? Asset trackers are suppose to update off any Samsara gps unit. We trucks on a jobsite daily and the assets repeatedly are not updating within created geofences. The asset will remain showing on the highway, other locations. Tech Support are so incompetent. In a email you will state to call a phone number within set hours and they call after hours; or never call and send an email after hours stated to communicate. They have no aptitude for clearly explained information on issues. During the install we gave them all the vin numbers, type of data connectors on the vehicles and they still sent the wrong harnesses, not enough, too many of another. Every time we try to use the video for license plate id the images are never clear or legible despite how much editing I do. Tech Support is no help even though during the demo the salesman will tell you how they can do more with the video on their end . It's not true.

Our Employer Doesn't Operate it as per the Training Video

My employer put these Samsara AI cameras in our trucks. We all had this training on how it works. They said we would get a log in and could review positives and negatives associated with our driving but they decided not to give us that. It told me to take a break once and that was helpful. It told me to secure my seatbelt today, it's 40degs, I pulled it down it bit to relieve my neck - Hopefully just a private warning. There is no way of knowing because some drivers say they got hauled into the office for things without warning. If it was operated as per the training, then I would consider improving the review. I wonder if I can have a sip of water whilst driving or if I should pull over for that - with these cameras I probably wouldn't want to risk getting hauled into the office.
