Don't trust the Skiplagged Travel Guarantee!
Definitely do not rely on the Skiplagged Travel "Guarantee" promise - it covers nothing! I am extremely disappointed with Skiplagged and will never trust this company again. Skiplagged prominently advertises “automatic protection on every flight” and specifically states that if an airline cancels your ticket and leaves you stranded, it will pay the difference between your original and replacement flight. I relied on those promises when my Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles was canceled during widespread airport disruptions. With no same-day replacement available, I purchased the earliest available economy flight for the following day. It departed from a less convenient airport, required a connection, and added hours to my trip. I spent an extra $800 for this new economy ticket, but felt reassured that Skiplagged's Guarantee "would take care of it", like they stated. I submitted my claim promptly with documentation. Within minutes, Skiplagged sent what appeared to be an automated denial stating only: “Issue not covered.” No explanation, no specific exclusion, and apparently no meaningful human review. When I appealed, Skiplagged merely sent me a link to a different, separate Terms page and then stopped responding. That page contains major restrictions that are not stated in the Guarantee advertising—including exclusions for weather, mechanical problems, airline operations, crew shortages, and air-traffic-control issues - pretty much ALL possible reasons why a flight might be canceled. It also says replacement flights must be booked through Skiplagged, reimbursement is capped at $500, and Skiplagged has "sole discretion to deny claims". In other words, the flashy advertising pages up front presents broad, automatic protection, while the separate, buried, fine print excludes all common reasons flights are canceled. This was not “peace of mind.” It was an unexplained denial when I actually needed the protection Skiplagged had advertised. I feel misled, dismissed, and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of transparency and customer service.

The first booking that I did went fine
The first booking that I did went fine, but when I tried to book my return trip it took so long for the system to work that they changed the price for the flight. Should have been able to book as a round trip for the first quoted price. Will see how this goes seems like a bait and switch situation
