After contacting customer service, Marvin explained what had happened, kept me updated, and got everything moving. From that point onwards, the order was dispatched promptly, I received tracking details, and it arrived exactly when he said it would. I haven't yet used the new accesories much but they definitely feel nice and improve the camera handling experience. It feels safer and seecure in my hands, improving also the stabilization a bit.

After waiting for more than a week without my items shipping I requested that my order be cancelled. I received a response saying that my order was pre-shipment and that cancellation would be possible. I received a second email a short time later asking me to reconsider my cancellation to which I immediately responded that I would still like to cancel. A day later I received another email stating that cancellation was no longer possible because the item had already shipped and that I would have to refuse the shipment and wait until the item is returned to receive a refund. Smallrig has not provided me with any tracking information which will make it impossible to refuse the shipment...

Really poor customer service. My order was confirmed quickly by SmallRig UK, & the goods shown on their website under my account. Then nothing, no update to shipping status for weeks. It became apparent that I was dealing with China, not a local office. When I did hear back there was an apology, but no update on shipping status. I worked out how to request a refund. It was accepted & I was told it has been processed. At the time of writing, still nothing. Apparently this isn’t a unique experience. Someone recommended trying Amazon UK. They had the items in stock, for less than my ‘special intro offer’. I received them the next day (I’m not even a Prime customer). The products are good, they’re let down by terrible service. UPDATE: I’ve just received my refund, far too stressful an experience. If I buy any SmallRig kit again, I’ll do so with a local retailer.

Good build quality, could do a little bit better on ergonomics and the placement of the thumb and index fingers. The finish is also very nice but could be improved with various wood finishes to choose from. I would also have blued the steel screws and screw driver in order to make the finish a little bit more premium
