Clear and easy to navigate

The site had the best prices, but also an easy-to-navigate format & interface. The details were clear & easy to understand, and I appreciated that I could get a live person on the phone if needed. I also appreciate the additional traveler options (especially the baggage finder service).

I first browsed the site and looked at flights. I found a fair deal but dis not take it and went out. I received an email with information that the flight prices didn't change. I reopened the flight I looked at the next day and booked effortlessly.

Upsell Deception

I booked two airline tickets through this company because it offered the best price on Kayak.com, including two checked bags and one carry-on bag for each passenger. After completing the purchase, I received booking confirmation HL43Z6, which stated that the airline confirmation would be issued within 24 hours. Shortly afterward, my credit card issuer flagged the transaction as potentially fraudulent. I immediately confirmed that the charge was legitimate and authorized the transaction. Despite this, I received no communication from the company informing me that the payment had failed or that any action was required on my part. The following day, after still not receiving my airline confirmation, I contacted the company. The representative informed me that the transaction had not gone through. Instead of attempting to process the original booking, he offered to sell me the same two tickets at a higher price. When I asked that the company honor the fare I had booked—and noted that the reservation may have been held pending payment—the representative became confrontational. After I continued asking questions about the status of my original booking, he stated that he would hang up if I continued. He then terminated the call. Based on this experience, I am concerned that the company advertises attractive fares to attract customers but, when the original transaction is not completed, attempts to steer customers toward higher-priced tickets instead. While I cannot confirm that this is the company's business practice, the sequence of events in my case raises that concern.
