What people say

They are so kind and attentive to you…

They are so kind and attentive to you if you have questions! I’m glad they helped me out cause I accidentally deleted the documentes (I know I’m dumb) so I sent a email if they could send it back to me, and they helped me have it back again! Again, they are so patient and very kind. I’m so glad they helped me out!

My search for a reputable star naming service

I've looked for weeks for a reputable star naming service but they all seem to give you a star to name for a suitable fee then give you a number you can use to look up the star's details, such as position, magnitude, constellation etc, but not the name. Who's going to remember that number in 50 years? And who could tell if they gave all those names to just a few different stars? To me that's a possible con. Then I found starregister.org, they do have a search by name facility on their website; just look at how many stars are named simply Mary. Unfortunately I won't be here in 50 years to test that my star name is still there.

Great experience and fast delivery!

I recently purchased a star naming package from StarRegister.org, and I’m very happy with the experience. The process was simple and smooth, and I received my certificate quickly. The design of the certificate is beautiful and makes a wonderful gift. Customer service was also responsive and helpful when I had a small question. I definitely recommend StarRegister.org to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful present!

The principle idea is lovely and unique. However the deluxe pack is not worth the additional cost. You can print yourself for a few pounds using a print shop. I expected so much more from it as an aniversay gift. Raised it with the provider prior to this review and got no where. Very poor service.

Thanks so much for your feedback and for appreciating the idea behind it. We always aim to create something meaningful, and I’ve sent you a message privately as I think there's some serious confusion behind printing your what you got in your email (a preview) and what we sent you by mail.

I named a star for my partner for Christmas. I didn't realise I had to pay extra to have a presentation kit (£50) already the star was £25. But I have an email copy and I printed the certificate myself. The certificate is quite basic looking, I was expecting something a little more special. But it's up there now, the star is ours 😊

I ordered one of these star packages in November.

I ordered one of these star packages in memory of a loved one and I love it! It’s such a unique and personal gift that I’m getting two more for stocking stuffers for my kids. The certificates are great and they can look at their star from anywhere they are.

Messed up the message I'd written

I paid €134 for the deluxe pack. I named a star after my parents and wrote a message to them in my native language. I received the e-mail with the pdf certificate promptly, and realized immediately that most of the spaces between the words in my message had been removed. I contacted them within 10 minutes of receiving the certificate, and they didn't reply for 10 days, which was when the physical copy arrived. Just like in the pdf, the message for my parents was completely messed up. I contacted them again asking for a replacement, for which I was asked to pay another €55. If you want to buy a star for somebody, leave the message part blank. It's safer to write the message in a letter.

WARNING...SCAM WEBSITE...

WARNING...SCAM WEBSITE... Hello, I read your reply to my email about the 2 certificates that I've ordered from your company that still haven't arrived. You say things are held up by my mail service provider because of high demand over the holidays. We aren't in any holiday period in Australia and haven't been for months so how can you use that excuse?..... I have in good faith paid you $229 for the Spernova star package plus 2 of the certificates from you. All I have received is a email with links to print off copies of certain things which actually cost me more money to get them professionally printed. I've waited patiently for the certificates to arrive but still nothing. I asked you for the tracking numbers for the certificates that I paid you $150 for but you won't even supply me with them. You must know the tracking numbers as how else would you know why the delivery of the 2 certificates have been delayed?.... Again can you please supply me with the tracking numbers for the 2 certificates uve paid you for......I have looked at your refund policy and there is NO REFUND POLICY.....these certificates were bought after the death of a 44 year old man from Leukaemia who has 3 young children. Can you please do more to help me as I am so disappointed in what is happening. I've waited over a month. My order number is 164439 Thanks Brett Meyer

Hi Brett, I hope all is well. I think there has been some confusion here, as the tracking has this as being delivered. We have reached out multiple times. I've sent you a note to see separately as we would be happy to reship this.

Was ready to plunk down hard earned money...

Was ready to plunk down hard earned money to buy a star. Did my research and found they misrepresented EVERYTHING! They have no authority to sell them anymore than I do! And they're not even associated with any scientific site that is! They're not even recognized by anyone who actually is in the scientific community and names the stars. Just another con.
