Because of a prior incident when we had to cancel a major trip but had travel insurance, we always opt in. TII is our choice. Thankfully, we have not had to submit any claims.

Simon Harrison was very helpful: kind, competent, understanding. His attentiveness outshined the rest. I would give him 5 stars. However, the overall wait to get to him was almost 30 minutes, which indicates that Travellers needs to hire more help to operate the phones for complicated requests. For the wait, I would give Travellers 1 star. Hire more folks!

We never had to do anything until we got home, The medical service people were superb. We had trouble at the hospital, but that's because they were looking for some sort "national medical identification" card. But Robin Assist pulled everything together. After I arrived home I learned that they would have even arranged my trip home but I'm a retired TA, it's what I do. Carol was well cared for from the first doctor's "you must go to the hospital" to meeting her and her nurse at the airport. We have "thrown away money on insurance" for years, but this one experience probably cost more than all of our previous premiums. We love TI.

It takes a while for them to kick it in…
It takes a while for them to kick it in after being out of the hospital. So we stayed in a hotel for 6 days until they made first class arrangements for travel, etc. Still waiting for reimbursement for all our expenses (hospital, med center on ship, hotel, meals, transportation, etc.) We are waiting for them to verify everything. Thanks to our case manager Koko.

It was an assurance knowing we were covered from the day we purchased our vacation right up until our vacation, during our vacation & travel to & from & until we were safely home. Thankfully we didn't need it but we know people who have wished they had it & didn't. For this reason we will never travel without insurance. Our only complaint, and it is the same with all insurance, whether travel, home, car or life insurance. Its the pages & pages of legal jargon to weed through. We believe its important to know what you're getting or not getting. We don't want to pay for things we don't need or find out too late we're missing something. It would be nice to have a user friendly version of your plan to read.
