Twigby's Terms of Service include a provision addressing port‑out fraud, which refers to activating lines primarily for the purpose of quickly transferring numbers to another carrier. This policy is in place to protect against misuse of promotional pricing, activation incentives, and network resources, as these types of patterns are commonly associated with fraud targeting low‑cost providers.
As outlined in our publicly available Terms of Service:
“Activation of Service with the primary purpose of porting to a different carrier is a fraudulent use of Service and is subject to immediate cancellation… Identification of this abuse… is made at our sole discretion and may be based on activation patterns, traffic patterns, timelines, actions, inquiries, other information, and/or similarity to other accounts with applicable history.”
In this case, the account activity triggered multiple indicators consistent with patterns we’ve previously identified as fraudulent. Based on those findings, the lines were canceled under Section 8 of our Terms—even though a port request had not yet been completed—because the overall activity aligned with known port‑out abuse behaviors.

Very happy with Twigby
I just finished a live chat with Robin who was super helpful to send me an express SIM card to get a replacement phone up and running after the original phone took a swim in a chlorinated pool. I have been a Twigby customer for almost 10 years and have always gotten quality assistance from customer service. My most recent experience with customer service was needing help to transfer my service to another phone since I broke the screen on my old phone. No, it was not protected with a screen protector nor a case. I had gotten as far as I could on my own but missed a few steps which Ellie patiently talked me through.

My great chat with Robin who represents Twigby very well
Robin was professional yet friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating while addressing my need for a new SIM card. Robin started the process for the new SIM which should be received within a week or so which is fine, as I need to finish setting up the new phone. Robin's expertise and customer service skills has been very typical of any assistance I continue to experience from Twigby, and it is very much appreciated. Although I do not have a big dollar account, I am treated properly when there is a need to chat (unlike my experience with other telecoms that provide cell phone service) which is a big reason why I remain a Twigby subscriber. Therefore, it is my intent is to remain with Twigby as there have also been no problems with calls what-so-ever since switching from Spectrum Mobile, which also uses the Verizon network, but for some reason cannot produce the same results consistently achieved by Twigby. Therefore, two thumbs up for Robin who represents Twiggy VERY well.

USA based, great service, straight fee plans
I LOVE the fact that twigby is very upfront with their costs and price plans. nothing is hidden, no extra fees tagged on last minute and GREAT customer service. I last spoke with Scott, and I can be curmudgeonly at times. He was patient and laid back, getting my phone fixed quilckly and informing me simply that there are othe rphone options available when I asked him. Twigby was my go to when I got sick of another phone company who had terrible customer service, switched me all over the world, literally,, cause when I reupped my phone plan, they could never get it up and working after I paid. I saw twigby is located ALL in the USA! no problems with communication, no issues with misunerstandings, just fast, professional service.
