communication was excellent..i could follow transit journey..packed extremely well…value for money is very good..lights are amazing..They definitely need protection for transit between gigs so i purchased a couple of padded bags and used polystyrene they came in to put into bags…perfect. i’m intending to buy a lazer next.

Poor packaging

Poor packaging. One item was wrapped nicely and sealed the other one was not, appearing to have possibly been a return? The moving head lights make a loud squeaking sound when moving at times. It is a concern. The items came from China and the shipping box looked like it had been through a war weh it had arrived. Shipping was very slow taking over 10 days to arrive. The price was very good though and I hope they continue to work well. The manual was very basic and not well written.

Final update from me on this. In the course of the first few months of me buying units 1 had completely failed and the other was failing intermittently with a bad DMX card. Eventually (many weeks) after the reports I was sent a powersupply to fix one of the units myself - it didn't work. The second unit i was sent a replacement DMX card, also didn't work. I let their support team know about both things not working and a replacement was agreed to. I was told the untis would be available by the end of the month. I waited 4 months and finally 1 was replaced by warranty and i bought a second one so I could have 2 working units. I wrote the review below and they asked me to reach out to them again, I did and they did absolutely nothing except suggest that I hadn't bought the light from them, again - which I showed them again that I did. Then they did nothing else. So to recap, first unit broke in a matter of months and was not replaced, second unit would only workunder some circumstances if you held the DMX cable in place just right, no matter the type of DMX cable end. Wasted countless hours of my time working with their support, they refused to actually be helpful. Finally got a replacement unit which is working, and also bought another which appears to be working. Here is hoping they keep working as I like the lights themselves, other than the utter garbage that is the app you can use to "customize" them... Would not and will not buy anything else from them. I'm on my 3rd and 4th unit now (while just trying to keep 2 working). For the price they are cool, but they are super intermittent on the DMX cards, support was useless, I had one unit completely die and it took 3 months+ to get a replacement, and the app you use to do custom stuff on them is buggy trash. If you don't mind spending less money and being told to repair them yourself or having stuff that works 50% of the time, then you're good with these. Edit: In response to UKings comments, I've already worked with their support team, they already have my email addess and have worked with me on all of the tickets i've opened. The problem is specific, they shipped out bad units, took months to replace them, they have intermittent failures and their software to manage the lzer units works terribly. If they haven't fixed it buy now with me, just responding to contact support again isn't a terribly honest answer. Moving them to 1 star. I would avoid.

Unhappy with UKing

One of the lights arrived and the bottom plate was all bent, would not fit correctly and I was told to try and straighten it, I asked if they bought a car and it was scratched and told to polish it would they be happy, lights are new and I paid for goods to be fit for purpose out of the 4 I bought this was faulty Not a happy shopper

Affordable

I can't afford to buy 4 of the lighting fixtures that are over £1000 each from a known brand and therefore I wouldn't be able to use my skills to create a light show. UKing offer decent fixtures for less than £200 and I have had these for 3 years now without any problems. Over the years I have bought over 30 moving heads from Uking and had very few issues. When I did have a problem, mainly appearance, they sent components or spare pcs to replace the damage. Also bought custom flight cases at a third of the cost. My rig is looking great thanks to Uking and the best part is they have a UK warehouse with most of the fixtures stocked, so no additional customs charges.

Very Fast Shipping and great Prices - customer service not so great

Very Fast Shipping and great Prices. I've had 8 Movers & a few Batterns. The heads although look great , on closer inspection, greasy finger marks inside all the lens from assembly. Also, I did reach out to there customer help via email & never heard back ? Hoping these stand up to gig life ?
