Every thing was done well. Way above the rest in costumer service, friendly ness, answering questions Evan though there was a 3 hour time difference. Macy and crew were on target the whole time. Charlotte was a massing and all questions timely. Great experience.

Connor Bushnell, Mortgage Lender with Wintrust Mortgage, always makes you feel like you're in good hands. He's always attentive, extremely knowledgeable and operates with integrity. If he gives you his word you can hold him to it. If he misses your call, he's calling back and sending you an email, generally apologizing for missing your call and following up asap. Connor doesn't dodge questions, he addresses them head on and explains until you fully understand what he's conveying to you. He's the only Lender who's been adamant about my VA benefits and my disability rating. He discovered that with TDIU, you receive full benefits, including full tax exemption even if you're below 100% rating. Connor fights for his Veteran customers. He believes in treating people fairly and receiving everything that's owed to us. Certainly worth pointing out; When applying for my initial mortgage, Connor asked how much I was comfortable paying, versus, allowing my credit to dictate my mortgage amount. That is how I was originally qualified for this house. Based on my comfort level, NOT what my credit score dictated I could afford. Connor is the exception to every rule that I know. He's an anomaly. An anomaly that's making it possible for Veterans like me to hold my head high, [not in arrogance, just pride]. He's making homeownership and refinance possible for Veterans who need a little help with obtaining a "fresh start", a reset. Thank you Connor for making my refinance process go smoother than I could have expected. Then, at the end of the day, being able to look at yourself in the mirror and be proud because you were ethical in your proceedings. More people should emulate your conduct, work ethics and diligence in acting out of the best interest of the client. Thank you Connor! 👏🏾👏🏾

Danielle and Meagan were very helpful in getting through all the hoops in getting us the mortgage for our home. They were very knowledgeable and provided needed guidance in getting through this process. From a veterans perspective I do believe some of the required inspections were more than necessary to obtain the financing and approval.

In purchasing my first home the experience of working with Melissa Staples and Dina Naswari none less the exceptionally magical. From the start of my home buying Journey Veterans First made the finding of the home very easy connecting me with an excellent, caring realtor. Throughout the rest of the process once the home was under contract Dina helped immensely in guiding me with providing all that was needed to get to the finish line. Melissa came in at the right time and her delicate touch and expertise as a loan officer manager ensured a smooth crossing of the finish line. I will certainly with Veterans when the rates come down and I’m eligible to re-fi.

Specifically my loan agent Kaitlynn was fantastic. Great personality, who was attentive and proactive throughout. We had issues with our closure from the sellers side and Kaitlynn was the only person in the process who made it doable. I could not recommend her or Veterans First Mortgage more highly. I am so happy to finally have my first home of my own thanks to them.

Very attentive to individual client experience
I first contacted Veterans First a few years ago when seeking and comparing pre-approvals on a property I was interested in. The bid I submitted on the home wasn't accepted. Though the seller engaged in negotiation, they ultimately chose to let their home go to their lender. Fast forward to the present: I found myself "The Right House". I remembered how pleasant and attentive Janelle had been, so I contacted her again. She immediately remembered me and my circumstances. She made the financing process as smooth as could be. Even while passing me to her colleagues while she went on maternity leave (congratulations Janelle!), she still stayed engaged with my case to ensure that all the loose ends were tied.

Kaitlynn Mattinson was so easy to work…
Kaitlynn Mattinson was so easy to work with and what I thought was impossible she made possible for me to secure a home loan. This took awhile as the home itself was tied up with the IRS longer than expected but she was very patient with everything that kept delaying the closing. Today it all came together and we closed. Kaitlynn was on top of this like a guard in Arlington Cemetery at the tomb of the unknown soldier.

I worked with Adam Freedman. The experience was great Adam stayed in close contact with me the entire time. Ensuring any bumps in the road got smoothed out. Although we're separated geographically, he navigated without issue. The property I purchased had multiple lots and multiple owners. Making it a little harder to work through. This will be the 2nd time I worked with Denitra Cosby. She was with me to purchase my home and I sought her out for refinancing. She is the absolute BEST when it comes to anything home buying related.
