I paid for 2 death certificates for my father Ralph Jones. I trusted and believed that I would receive 2 valid death certificates with raised seals indicating originals. As I will be using the death certificates for legal purposes. I know for a fact that my lawyer will ask for an original. Instead, I h to my dismay I received 2 copies. I need this to be corrected. It came in but honestly quite irritated with the shipping, the first time ups tried to deliver it the person didnt knock or ring the door bell to sign for it just left a note on the door saying they tried but there is no way my entire family didn’t hear them if they did because we were eating dinner at the time in the kitchen which is less than 5 feet from the door. Then two days later it finally was delivered the guy actually rang the door bell but it’s like what was the point of me paying for overnight delivery when it took 3 days to actually arrive because someone couldn’t be bothered to actually do their job properly.

Worst online shopping experience ever

Worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I submitted a request to VitalChek for copies of my kid's birth certificates on 6/16/2026. I submitted all the required documents with in 2 days to include a notarized for the required. Then on June 21st my debit card information was taken from a gas pump. The next day VitalChek tried to charge my card and I got a card declination notice. I believed that they had already charged my card as it had been canceled by then. I thought not a problem, I'll just go on the website and correct the issue. I learned there is no way to make a change to the payment method online. So I called. I called every day for 5 days waiting an hour on hold every time with no answer. After the first two days, I re-ordered the birth certificates under a new order number. I emailed them explaining what I had done and included the order number for both orders. In an attempt to simplify things I included my identity notarized document from the first order with the second. After a couple days I received a message that the notarized form wasn't accepted as it had a different order number on it. That same day, I received a return email to the first message I had sent them. In that message they said they would call me the next day to update the payment information. This was on July 1st. The following day I didn't get the call. On July 3rd, I attempted to call them. Again, no answer after an hour. So I printed up the identity form for the second order and got that notarized. I sent the second form to them. A few days later they send me a notification there was something wrong with the second form. Honestly, I didn't check what was wrong. I just drove to the Maricopa County, AZ Vital Records Office and got what I needed after a two hour wait. I regret not doing that in the first place. I also emailed VitalChek and told them to cancel my two orders. In that email, I provided them with both order numbers. Then on July 9th, I receive a phone call from them. They were requested the payment information for the first order. While I had them on the phone, I asked them to cancel both orders. Which she did, but she warned me I would still incur the $15.50 processing fee. Then as she brought up the order with the canceled card, I interrupted her and politely told her about my horrible experience. At that point I was curious to see if she would have the nerve to ask for the corrected debit card information for the first order. She did not. For that absolute failure in customer service I got away cheap for only $15.50. With that said, If you live in AZ, don't order these anything through VitalChek. In the off chance that something goes wrong, it's going to be a nightmare correcting it. I doubt they care. I'm sure they're in a government contract that they both can't handle, but the citizens of Arizona can't change. Just avoid them.

She was able to expedite my request and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I also want to commend Team Lead Jillian R. for quickly reviewing and approving my documentation. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to help made all the difference. Thank you both for the outstanding customer service!

Talk about pathetic! My birthday was in May and I had to get a driver's license in a new state so II placed my order for my birth certificate on May 1, 2026 for a rush order and spent $57.00... certificate $25, shipping $20 , and VCN handling $12. When did I get my birth certificate?? Today! July 15, 2026 IDK who's running this company but I can assure you they don't care about you or your needs. IDK how they order these things through the states but I can assure you they're not at the top of whatever states vital statistics departments! I could have had family go get my birth certificate and mail it to me faster, but I'd already paid for the "rush" job through this company! NEVER AGAIN! They don't even qualify for BBB they suck so bad and have so many complaints! If you can find somewhere else at a decent price go there! This company doesn't even deserve the one star.

I paid for two separate orders. Sent my information in multiple times. Kept being rejected when I did what they said to the letter. And they still took the money after not sending my records. Don't recommend.
