Loved Wix-now diss harmony !!

I absolutly loved doing my first website on Wix a few months ago, I found it intuitive, straightforward, easy to change /try things, easy to play about, easy to get polished looking results, easy to figure out how to do things or to find out. It is published and looks darned good if I say so myself! I tried a 2nd website last week - and it sent me down AI 'harmony' route- aaaarrrrggghhhh!!! it is the most frustrating, laggy, useless, hard to use, non intuitive, impossibly frustrating wretched thing! and 'harmonious' was not how i was feeling after asking 'Aria' for help!!! I couldn't do the easiest things, like making pics the same size ( and no Aria, the same size in pixels wasn't what I asked for and isn't the same thing!!!) And I couldn't go in to tweak a comma without waiting forever for that stupid bouncy screen to load. Stressful miserable experience. They don't let you move all yr content into old editor, :-( , but it was easier & quicker & better for my overheating brain to ditch the new site & start again on the old editor. Why fix something that ain't broke? Why is AI so woeful? I am not a professional designer, but I was perfectly well able to be a bit creative- why get a machine to do that worse? What is wrong with people doing their own stuff? Is this why resource -gobbling data centers are being built??? Bah to all that!!!

My experience with Wix is that it’s inexplicably random on how it responds various activities and actions in building a website - it seems buggy , laggy and provides an abominable user experience for the hapless customer trying to build a website. My sense is that modern streamlined AI powered web site builder apps have left it in the dust - it’s now two generations old in terms of resources to build a website - it’s just awful.

I would not do business with Wix…

I would not do business with Wix websites . They renew automatically and do not allow refunds after you have been charged . The websites they create look like a 6 year old did the work . They also do not have a customer service phone number . Everything is done with Ai because they don’t want to talk to anyone . Very unprofessional company . They only want your money . After that there’s no support .

My experience with Wix has been very disappointing. I was charged AUD $30 to activate my website, but the website was never activated. After I contacted customer support, I was repeatedly told that the refund had been sent to my account. However, I have not received anything—not even one cent. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Wix. Please be careful before using this service.

WIX STOLE MY MONEY!!!

Though my auto-renew was set to 'off' in subscriptions from the start of the year, Wix has still charged me when they SHOULDN'T of. After trying to contact them, they are trying to lie and say it was me who turned it off AFTER the charge. What?! I've never dealt with such lying thieves in my life!

Wix locks name servers! (Scam)

Abysmal website with abysmal experience. They don't let you edit nameservers. Whatever you do, DO NOT use Wix. Buy your domains somewhere else. They will lock you in after domain purchase. Whats more, if you try to make DNS changes on the site itself, they will take 48 hours to take effect! These people are living in the dark ages I had to change the name of my whole website because the domain i purchased got locked by Wix. This site is a scam EDIT : THE REPLY BELOW IS BS. THE HELP MENU ON THE SITE DOES NOTHING.

Non existent customer service

Like many others. Wix had doubled the price of yearly hosting from £100 to £200, auto-renewed my subscription without warning, and are unwilling to refund my money. Without any proper customer support. Shady business practices.

Paid Premium since Nov 2025 still can't…

Paid Premium since Nov 2025 still can't complete basic setup, zero support resolution I've been paying for a Wix Premium plan since November 2025 over 8 months now to build a website for my new private practice. In that entire time, I have not been able to complete the basic marketing setup (SEO, GEO,) that should be standard with a premium plan, and I have not generated a single client through this site. When I finally reached a live agent after navigating a bot, a call back request, and an SMS verification step, I was told she had no access to the SEO/GEO features on my site and that only an "Advanced Team" could help contactable by email only, with no timeframe given, despite Wix advertising 24/7 support. When I asked how to make a formal complaint, I was told that also had to go through the same email queue. Wix appears to have no direct complaints channel, which is why I'm posting here. I've now paid for nearly 9 months of a service I have been unable to use as intended, with no working marketing setup and no business results to show for it. I'm asking Wix to: Refund the Premium subscription fees for the period the marketing/SEO features have been non-functional (Nov 2025–present) Provide direct compensation for the time spent trying to resolve this Respond to this directly rather than routing me into another queue Case references: 1006526314 / 1324522648

Wix is a tricky and sneaky business. They cheat you out of money by making renewal confusing and then not returning the money they steal from you. Avoid this company. Even when I tried to straighten things out (several times), they still charged me. BAD company

Used to be easy to use for an idiot like myself but now is impossible to do anything. All they want me to do is subscribe before the page is remotely finished, going to have to find another builder.

Vague terms

Although the website is easy to build, it has been hacked a couple of times. The auto renewal before notification and the amount billed was not agreed on, but I guess they will insist on fine print. I have requested a refund, but no word yet. I am sure there are better options out there. Do your research first before signing up.
