Punitive communication, withheld delivery, and extortion tactics. My family and I used Zip to Zip Moving for our interstate relocation, storing our household inventory temporarily while securing our permanent residence. From the start, we experienced major friction with unexpected and drastic price increases that required hard negotiations just to bring down to a semi-reasonable level. Unfortunately, that pushback resulted in direct retaliation from staff. We provided our new permanent address and delivery instructions multiple times, only to find out that a representative named Lucas intentionally failed to log or update our information in the system, leaving us stranded out of the delivery queue and forcing us to sleep on air mattresses in an empty townhome. When we finally secured a written email confirmation for delivery between Monday and Wednesday from another representative, a staff member named Noah called with an arrogant, bullying attitude, trying to gaslight us with a sudden, zero-notice Sunday ambush delivery. When we held firm to our written delivery window, Noah and the team escalated to blatant extortion—threatening to withhold our household goods and slap us with fabricated cubic-foot penalty fees. Deliberately failing to process relocation updates out of petty office friction and holding customer property hostage over forced, unagreed-upon scheduling is completely unacceptable. If you value your property, your time, and basic accountability, look elsewhere.
