What people say

USDT LOST. Time wasted. Steer clear.

SCAM. They advertise as best security but that's it. Initial setup is fast and rosy until you deposited USDT and there's where the hell starts. Unable to use the TRC20 network to transfer funds to online exchange. Both accounts are green and clean on TronScan. It will fail with a very vague error "Opps something went wrong, please try again". Funds get stuck and the "History" page DOES NOT show any of the failed transactions. At this point you'd be thinking to contact support and that's when the 2nd hell starts. Support will reply after a few hours and close your ticket abruptly without providing solution. When I insisted on clear error explanation and support, Mostafa led me down a rabbit hole of idiotic advices like "restart your app", "clear your cache", "try again with different network", "i don't see your transaction" etc and that lasted for 3 full days. The 2000$ funds are still stuck and over 100 TRX wasted to do their testing work. I've only recently became a victim of this scam and really hope to stop others from putting your precious earnings here before it's too late.

Zengo making ne go to Google Drive support; Google making me go to Zengo - no solution

I tried to contact Google support, but got the following response. However Zengo is not able to help me in this situation. I cannot find any backup file. “Thanks for contacting Google Drive Support regarding your Zengo Crypto Wallet backup. I completely understand how critical it is to get that data back, and I want to make sure you get the right help. Because our team specializes specifically in Google Drive subscriptions, syncing issues, and recovering deleted files from the Trash, third-party app backups actually fall outside of what we can access. Because your data is private, Google doesn't have a way to see or extract how Zengo stores its backups. To get this sorted out as quickly as possible, your best bet is to reach out directly to Zengo's support team. They have the specific tools needed to look into app-specific data recovery.” Zengo - I need a solution.

We understand how frustrating this situation is. However, zengo is a non-custodial wallet, which means you—and only you—have control over your funds, your cloud storage, and the files stored within it. The Recovery File is a required part of our security model and is stored in your personal cloud account. It was successfully used when the wallet was originally created, which is why the account could be set up in the first place. Unfortunately, without access to the Recovery File, we are unable to recover the wallet. This is not a policy decision but a fundamental security requirement designed to ensure that no one—not even zengo—can access a customer’s funds or wallet without the required recovery factors. We understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but compromising this security model would put all customer accounts at risk. If you would like us to review your case again, please contact our support team at [email protected] and we will be happy to assist further.

Utter sham

Utter sham - trying to recover my account after a phone change and they are locking me out. The "backup file" did not sync/was lost when change phone - an issue totally out of my hands, and so am being told i can't recover my money. No alternatives offered. It's close to theft.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. However, it’s important to clarify how Zengo’s security and recovery model works. Zengo is a non-custodial wallet, which means that only the user has control over the wallet and funds — not Zengo. As part of this model, the Recovery File is securely stored in the cloud service selected by the user during setup. To help prevent loss, Zengo supports backup storage across multiple cloud providers, and users are guided through this process during onboarding and recovery setup. Without access to the Recovery File, it is unfortunately not possible to restore access to the wallet. This is not a matter of locking users out, but rather a fundamental part of how non-custodial security works to ensure that no third party — including Zengo — can access customer funds. Our support and engineering teams are always happy to investigate and assist wherever possible. If you still need help reviewing your case, please contact our 24/7 support team at [email protected].

I would like to close my account and wish to claim the funds in my account. Kindly can I have anyone from customer service team to assist and reply the chat and email. Wish to resolve this at the soonest. Thank you.

Zengo is a non-custodial wallet, which means you are the only person with control over your funds and the only one who can authorize transactions from your wallet. If you need any assistance, our team is available 24/7 at [email protected] or through the in-app chat, and we’ll be happy to help.

Couldnt get into my account

Couldnt get into my account. tried to talk to support. They couldnt help, told me to delete account and consider it a loss and start a new account. Are you kidding me? So they keep all my crypto because they cant recover my account? Use a different wallet. This is too risky to let these people hold your funds

Reply from Zengo2026-04-26

Hi, We’re sorry to hear about your experience. To clarify, Zengo is a self-custodial wallet, which means only the account owner controls access to the funds — Zengo does not hold customer funds and cannot access them. Account recovery depends on the recovery components created during setup, including the Recovery File. If those are unavailable, access cannot be restored by us or anyone else, by design. This security model ensures only you control your assets. We understand how frustrating this can be, and our team always does everything possible to help customers explore every recovery option available. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you’d like us to review your case once more.

When you put in a message to the…

When you put in a message to the support team, it may take a little bit for them to respond, but when they do, they are on your case pretty quick to find out exactly what’s going on. Jacob has been wonderful throughout the day and helped out tremendously and was calm, cool and collective and very helpful.

DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!

DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!! For 1 when you deposit anything they will do absolutely EVERYTHING to avoid you withdrawing your funds! 2 they start putting all kinds of blocks so when you get past an obstacle they put 20 more in front of you so you can’t withdraw! So they obligate you to buy matic as part of a commission fee but when you try to deposit matic (they really don’t want matic just want you to keep depositing in their account) they block your transaction. Then they block your account and ask for a “recovery kit” that NEVER accepts because it constantly fails under error messages! It’s been 1 year and no answer or help from them! Apart from support looks like a bunch of 13 year old liberals! I bet these clowns support Minnesota, ny, and chicago mayors! These people should be in jail! Oh and don’t come responding with your cheap excuses i have all the evidence, chats, and videos of everything you people did to scam me!

Hello, Zengo is a non custodial wallet, meaning we never have access to or control over users’ funds. Only the wallet owner can move or withdraw assets. Regarding Polygon transactions, holding MATIC to pay network fees is a requirement of the Polygon blockchain itself and applies to all wallets interacting with that network. It is not something set or controlled by Zengo. We were unable to locate a support case matching the situation you describe. If you experienced an issue, please contact our team directly at [email protected] so we can review the details and assist you.

We were so impressed with our personal account. We also open a business account. We enjoy it very much. The customer service is awesome and the fees are very low, especially in pro and then there’s security available and you have many ways to purchase.

Thank you for taking the time and your words, Billie.

Its extremely confusing for newbies

Its extremely confusing for newbies. I have to pay to be able to swap/send/receive. Absolutely the most frustrating complicating bitcoin app ive ever used. I have 50 dollars stuck in there. I finally understand how to get it out. If it would jus automatically take out the fees with the money deposited that would make a world of more sense. But I gotta put an additional deposit for the fees? Stupid Absolutely STUPID

Reply from Zengo2026-02-16

this is not true. you likely fell for an impersonation scam. no withdrawal "fees" are required on zengo to activate or remove your funds
