Abt Electronics

Paid and was charged, but then a day later randomly said order didn't go through.

After spending an hour researching the perfect TV, Capital One Shopping said they would give me $100 back if I buy the TV from this weird ABT company. I triple checked that it was the exact same TV and bought it. Then I received a very weird email stating: "Unfortunately, we have encountered a problem validating your credit card information. We are unable to complete your order without verifying this information with you." Even though I already got the receipt and the payment went through on my card. They said I must contact them within 24 hours. I responded immediately. They didn't respond for a day later saying that I didn't respond (and my response is in the body of their email LOL) and the order was cancelled, even though I've already been charged. So, I go to the live chat, and they tell me I have to contact the verification department not her. So, I tell her I already have, they just ignored me. So she says she'll email them and have them contact me. They don't. I hope I don't have to go through cancelling my card again, because I've got autopay on about 20 things!

Gave me money, then immediately took it away...twice

This was one of the weirdest things to happen to me in business in a long, long time. QuickBooks recommended them to me, and I wasn't even looking for money, but I thought, OK, I'll take some to blow up my marketing. Why not? And boy was it easy. I think it took just a few days, and the money was in my account. But then after just a month or two, they dropped my revolving line to a fraction of what they gave me. And when I asked why, they simply didn't respond. I have sent multiple emails asking questions, and they just don't respond. But it gets worse. I actually completely forgot about it, until just now, when I paid off the loan completely and got another email stating they dropped my credit down to next to nothing. Completely random. We don't even need any money, but now that I paid off the loan, they want to make sure they don't give it to me. LOL. However, without me asking they sent me the reasons for it being lowered. I'll copy and paste them here because they are hilarious (one quick note--I have almost zero debt, and no late payments on anything in I don't know how many years. Anyway, check out this hilariousness: 68 - Lack of real estate secured loan information. ??? I've never had real estate. What are you talking about??? 29 - Balances on bankcards are too high compared with credit limits. Too high??? I have only one single unpaid "bank card"/ credit card. ONE 43 - Too many revolving accounts with high balance compared to credit limit. Too many revolving accounts??? I have ZERO, besides yours. Not one other account. 87 - Unpaid collections. ??? I have had the exact same amount of collections that I had when you gave me the loan. I'm fighting them with an attorney, so no, I'm never paying them. 84 - Number of inquiries was a factor in determining the score. ??? I have applied for maybe one thing in 6 months. I promise you don't see a "number of inquiries" on my account. And as a refresher, the most important thing here is, they gave me a loan, and I paid it completely off without a single late payment. And how they repay that is by lowering it to next to nothing. What does $2,500 do to a business that's doing $50k a month? 😂
