Three Bird Nest

Turned My Skin Blue

I loved the clothes I bought! But then a knit romper (not denim) literally TURNED MY SKIN BLUE without any tag warning or anything. And I didn't realize it, so now my toilet is blue and my white bed sheets are blue. And I initially laughed this off, but after being ignored by customer service for 2 WEEKS, I started to get kind of frustrated. They finally responded (after 2 follow ups from me), and they told me to submit a damage claim. But as soon as I clicked the button that said the item had been worn, it said it was ineligible. So I responded to customer service, who basically told me 'sorry, you can't return items that are older than 3 days or have been worn.' Which like...duh? I was very clear about having worn it, and it took 2 weeks for them to respond to me with the link... Also, I really just wanted someone to CARE. You know? I just kept begging them to improve the processes at their factory or at least put a tag on garments that haven't been colorfasted properly. But apparently they just don't care. Which makes me wonder how often this is happening. Because no one seemed shocked or very apologetic at all. And I wasn't given a refund or credit or even a very genuine apology. So I guess it's all fine and good if you happen to get the good products? But if you get an item like I got, you're just out of luck, and they don't care about you. Edit to add: I asked for my issue to be elevated to a manager, and she was very apologetic. She also refunded the item. I will also note that I washed the item (alone, in cold water), but my body still turned blue from wear. Was hoping a good wash would fix the problem, but no.

Audible

Audible Exclusives Suck

Audible claims stakes to books they didn't create or produce... I'm seeing more and more books that become "audible exclusives", taking them away from library apps like Hoopla and even paid apps like Spotify Premium. They're creating a monopoly, essentially forcing people to do business with them because they've found a way to have books removed from all other sources. (Even when those books were originally available elsewhere.) I understand exclusive content when it's completely original to the business (like Netflix creating and producing their own shows), but it's frustrating to see this with books that used to be more accessible. It just feels like a low ball move
