Thumbtack DOES NOT ENSURE that the companies on their are legitimate business. I own a pest control company, found out there was another company using my name. I contacted thumbtack, showed them proof from dept of ag website and dept of labor and they still months later refuse to remove that profile. The guy stealing my name and running his clone business isnt even licensed with the dept of ag and been given a cease amd desist order, thumbtack still won't remove him. Do not trust thumbtack
