SteelSeries

1/5 Stars - Dangerous Fire Hazard & Appalling Apex Pro Mini Wireless Quality. Avoid at all costs.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with the Apex Pro Mini Wireless has been so infuriating and genuinely unsafe that I feel obliged to warn others. Do not spend your money on this. You expect premium quality from a £200 flagship keyboard, but what I received was a masterclass in cheap manufacturing and defective hardware. After just over a year of normal use, the board suffered a cascading series of total failures: Dead RGB LEDs: Some Colours Completely stopped working after a year. Software/Firmware Failures: The device utterly refuses to perform firmware updates through the SteelSeries GG software. Dead Switches: The function keys have completely given out and stopped responding. Severe Safety Hazard: Most alarmingly, the internal battery has swollen inside the case, turning the keyboard into a literal fire hazard and a danger to keep in my home. A quick search online confirms I am far from the only one. There are numerous reports from other customers experiencing these exact widespread defects, specifically the dying LEDs, persistent software issues, and the extremely dangerous battery swelling. However, the worst part of this entire ordeal has been SteelSeries Customer Service. Despite having a product with four major manufacturing defects, including a known and dangerous fire hazard, SteelSeries has taken zero responsibility. Because I misplaced the original paper receipt and could not track down a digital copy, they have refused to help me. I offered the device's serial number so they could verify the product, but they hid behind their receipt policy to avoid addressing a critical safety flaw in their hardware. The level of pushback I have received is ridiculous. Any other reputable tech company would immediately address a swollen battery issue regardless of a misplaced piece of paper, simply out of concern for customer safety. SteelSeries is perfectly happy to charge £200 for a "premium" product, but they will completely abandon you when their cheap components fail and put your safety at risk. Save your money and buy from a brand that actually stands behind its products.

Mint Mobile

Ridiculous delay in delivery!

I arrived in USA and needed a new sim urgently for me and my children. Mint said it would take 3 days to deliver. Not ideal but we would cope. 10 days later and still no sims, despite numerous follow ups with their agents. All I am told is that my order is in processing, whatever the heck that means!! Had I known, I would have gone elsewhere! And they think responding with a standard cut-and-paste reply that says call the idiots who couldn't help the last 3 times on a phone I can't use because I'm still waiting for the flipping sim is useful! What a joke! I am cancelling my order.
