I had two mp4 files, one at 3400 bitrate, another at 1500. The 3400 file would not play on my LG TV, it was skipping. The 1500 looked terrible. This software has premade settings depending on your tv and it had LG, so that's why I got it. It was very easy to do, it took a while because the end file ended up being like 10GB, but it converted the 3400 file to 12000, the file played just fine on the tv, and I didn't have to suffer with the low quality version.
It was easy and straightforward to work, and is not overpriced, just right I believe.
Very good and rapid support and resolution of issues/queries.
I use EaseFab Videoconverter Ultimate on a daily basis to transcode and combine the output of multiple cams to create input for Final Cut Pro X (500-1000 clips per day merged to create a single HQ video file for FCP).
The program has very comprehensive functionality with a massive number of transcoding options and is the best solution I have found to combining diverse inputs into a single file.
Terrible company. The software does not live up to the hype. I have a very powerful computer and a top of the line bluray drive and it does not rip dvds in 5 mins. I have both products Easefab lossless and the ultimate video converter. The software promise to rip 4k bluray it does not. The software works when it wants to work. Try and get a refund good luck. I just wrote it off as a loss.

For the "rip dvds in minutes", both LosslessCopy and Ultimate can get the job done if you choose h.264 mp4 and "multi-track mkv" as the output.
When you contacted us to overcome the 4k disc issue, our custome staff replied you and gave you a updated version of the software to solve it. But after that, we've not recieved your feedback so far.

Updated: You purchased the programme on May 3rd, and reported the 4k issue on July 19th, then our technical support sent an update release to solve the 4k issue on July 22nd. Actually the issue is fixed and verified by our another users, but we are sorry that we have not received any response from you. In this month we get your refund request. Although it does not comply with our refund policy we still applied for a refund for you.

I also had time to buy a new program (DVDFab DVD Ripper), in addition to other old ones, because my friend there borrowed the entire 'LOST' series for a few days.
But DVDFab turned out to be the worst, because it doesn't show Finnish subtitles at all in the ripped file - and they refuse to return my money, even though they promise in their ad... they just want to develop their program with the help of paid 'testers'.
I have the also MacX DVD Ripper Pro (too complicated to use with settings), VideoProc Converter (slow and complicated), Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate (not support anymore, so it crashes also), Wondershare UniConverter 15 (not support the copy protected DVDs) etc. - but this your software is simple the best... very easy to use, very fast and the ripped quality is perfect, that's why I wanted you to fix the version. AND AGAIN... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I have had the EaseFab Video Converter Ultimate (Family - 5 PCs) since the middle of February of 2024.
It has never lived up to it's hype. I have continually had problems trying to RIP even regular DVDs much less BluRay discs. It's advertised that it can RIP a DVD in 5 minutes and it would take several hours and I have an Intel7 and a 2 Terabyte hard drive.
Customer support is basically non-existent.
The software is European and its development and support is absolutely terrible.
Don't spend even $.01 on this software.

Generally, several factors, including the source file, the output settings, computer performance and configuration, influence the conversion speed. You can speed up the conversion with the Use GPU encoding, which means that the conversion speed depends on the graphics card performance and the file size. In this way, you will enjoy 6 times conversion speed (about 5 minutes) with H.264 output encoder and lossless MKV output when converting a DVD.
BTW, I've checked the email message and found that we reply you within 24 hours. This does not match the facts.

Software is buggy and incomplete. For example, the option to render to uncompressed YUY2 produces an incorrect duration metadata field for longer programs (not a problem with the 3 minute demo limitation). This results in the output being truncated when loaded into any editing program. Secondly, the option to rip lossless to mkv is "locked" at 30 fps. Since every bluray I own is anything BUT 30 fps, this results in severe judder on the output file. Since I have blurays at 23.98, 24, 25 and 50 fps, I ended up having to write a bat file to launch this program which changes the relevant template xml file so that the correct frame rate (whatever it happens to be) is encoded. I cannot believe this program made it to version 5.8 with a massive shortcoming like this. Having to dig under the bonnet should be something reserved for free open source "raw" tools and even those are more polished than this software. As for support, I have not heard back and don't expect to.
Software does not work, app turns off for no reason.
Very poor title selection, has no option to save work so far in a file.
Support has never responded.

False advertising by this company. Software program ripper only works when you choose M2TS format. MP4 doesn't work and neither does MKV. Every output option I have tried has failed except m2ts
All seemed to be ok but doesn't copy the menu correctly. You can select the first option in the list but it joins all the others together. I've tried it with different discs which are all the same. A waste of time.
It is quite easy to purchase but ultimately the software doesn't work. I purchased a "lifetime" license which fails consistently to produce an .mp4 file which can be played by either QuickTime or VLC. Multiple attempts to contact support have produced zero answers. ZERO. This qualifies as a SCAM.
I purchased the ultimate lifetime version for my MacBook in April 2023, but after upgrading to Catalina recently the program wouldn’t work as it needed updating.. message says contact developer! I’ve written three times to EaseFab Support with ID Licence etc requesting a link or advice on how to update but heard nothing back! 🤷♀️
Seeing so many negative views on Trustpilot I thought I would try it before I actually bought it, so I downloaded a trial version ... it allows 3 minutes of dvd copying ... 3 minutes ... that's not a trial, its an insult. Let me copy a whole dvd to check out the quality or do you have so little faith in your product?

Have been using EaseFab Video Converter for a few years. Experience has been very smooth and easy to use. I mostly use the program to convert video files, it works very well.

As everyone wrote, I can confirm that customer support is not responding at all! After several attempts, I gave up contacting them.
My problem is that EaseFab Lossless Copy is not converting 3D BluRays correctly. Suppose the source is a BluRay or ISO; it doesn't matter. In that case, it just won't work. The output is a complete out-of-the-screen frame (I think this is supposed to represent the 3D effect.), which is entirely flat, but the content shows no depth as a 3D film should be ....
Guess a "Refund Guarantee for 90 days" request won't make sense since no Support feedback should be the usual case by EaseFab.
The only thing is to warn future customers (as long as they do not improve it) not to buy the software if they want support from the EaseFab support team or solve a problem because the output differs from what was promised on the EaseFab website.
But if they have money to spare and are willing to risk buying something that is not working or is useless ... guess this is up to each individual to decide.
I hope this helps ... to make a purchase decision.
Update, July 30th:
After I posted this review, I got contacted by the EaseFab Support Team.
I did not set up this update because they apologized to me (which I gratefully accepted), but to be fair, the communication now really works and is within the promised time of 24 hours or less, so I gave it another star to this review. (At the beginning, I gave a one-star only to my recent experience) Of course, while this is not the end of the case and the experience with the EaseFab support team ... it remains to be seen how the whole thing will go. However, you can see that the support is trying hard to make the so-called "communication slip“ away. In any case, I will continue to share my experience with EaseFab in detail here. ...
