I ordered a Centauri Carbon 2

I ordered a Centauri Carbon 2. The shipment was fast and accurate, and the packaging was excellent. Overall, the printer performs very well, and I'm really satisfied with it. However, I spent almost an entire day troubleshooting TPU printing before I realized what the issue was. Unfortunately, I discovered the YouTube tutorial a little too late. Before watching it, the nozzle clogged twice, and I had to clean it both times. My only criticism is that the printer doesn't include the separate splitter required for feeding TPU filament, nor is the filament path designed to allow TPU to pass through reliably without one. Aside from that, it's a great printer. The print quality is excellent, setup was straightforward, and I would definitely recommend it.

The service was great

The service was great, my order was dispatched within a few days' The delivery arrived quickly, and everything I had ordered was there.

Your quality is horrible.

Your quality is horrible.. my printer in less than a year has been down waiting for repair parts more than 4 months. A part breaks, waiting 2-3 weeks for the part to be shipped. Conversing with customer service takes days to get the parts I need to fix it to be shipped. I promised my partner, no more Elegoo printers. I promised not to install the CANVAS on it and sell it on Facebook Marketplace and sell the printer to someone who needs parts. My next printer will either be a Creality K3 or a Prusa Core One L. At least they have good quality and responsive customer service.

A good machine

A good machine. Assembled well. But, with a few missing bolts. First benchy came out good. I have had to alter a few design aspects, that I do not agree with. To make the machine more adaptable to my way of doing 3D printing.

Great products at great prices, but not always beginner‑friendly

Elegoo is a genuinely great company with some of the best pricing you’ll find in the 3D‑printing space. Their devices are solid, reliable, and deliver excellent results once you get the hang of them. That said, they’re not the most beginner‑friendly—there’s a learning curve, and you’ll likely need to do some troubleshooting along the way. Support isn’t the quickest, but they do come through in the end, and I’ve always gotten the help I needed. Overall, a strong four‑star experience and a brand I’m happy to keep using.

My printer doesn’t work

My printer doesn’t work. Elegoo has not given me any updates or resolution. The last time I had issues it took over 4 weeks to resolve my issue. This is unacceptable customer service

Good product, Software lacking

Purchase and shipping were as expected. Assembly was straightforward and well documented. So far, the product prints very well. The printer's software is very buggy, and often does not connect to the Elegoo slicer. Matrix seems to connect well, but I can rarely get the camera to display in Matrix. Also, I have not been able to update firmware OTA, so I am forced to update firmware manually. Additionally, the Elegoo site does not have the firmware files available in their downloads section, so I am forced to get the firmware updates from a 3rd party site.

Too difficult to find things

Too difficult to find things. Speaking as a small biz owner and 45+ years of user interface design: there’s only one site that comes to mind that we visit that’s worse: xtools. That’s NOT good company for ya’ll to be in. Why did it take 30+ minutes for us to find and select from all your “bundles” (which we did not choose in the end) the wash station we wanted. We already had bought one previously, we knew exactly what we wanted…but it took us over half an hour to just find what we wanted! I fully understand upwelling. But you are heading down if not already there the path that xtools has taken (marketing over product), please note: we haven’t bought from Xtool purely because 5heir website is such a end-user disaster. Please , keep you site and product offers streamlined and easy to use!!!

Centauri carbon 1 with canvas add on

Elegoo did a good job to deliver canvas system for $55 and have it work. Should have done a better job upfront with multicolor integration with centauri carbon 1. Regardless, still a top printer in my years of experience at the price point being offered.

Really great company. Only one complaint.

I've loved working with and buying things from Elegoo. My only complaint is that I bought two Canvas multi-filament upgrades for two of my Centauri Carbon printers and it was not at all clear during the purchase that I would be waiting four to five months for delivery. Everything else I've bought from them has been delivered surprisingly quickly.

Fairly easy process to convert to color…

Fairly easy process to convert to color printing. The new CANVAS multicolor unit works like a charm. I have ordered a second unit. I may upgrade all 5 CC1 units I have. The only complaint I would present is the fact that Elegoo doesn't offer the top enclosure from the CC2 for sale to be used on the CC1.

I am having a lot of problems with the canvas system, only 2 of the 4 feeders work 2 of them will not load no matter what I do.Keeps giving me an error code I have tried everything

Elegoo Centauri carbon 2 - many many many issues.

I bought the original Centauri Carbon. Worked OK for a few months. Issues with lots of random failed prints, nozzle blocks etc, but just as bad was the software. It's very poor. It then just wouldn't print well for no exact reason. Regardless of filament make, dried or not. Many emails back & forth, and new bits sent out for me to fit. Ended up giving it to my dad as he likes to tinker, and it needed lots of 'tinkering'. I bought a Bambu Lab A1 Mini. 4 colours & smallish size. Works fantastic. Downside is the bed size. So... Decided to give Elegoo another chance. Bought the 'new' Centauri Carbon 2. What a huge mistake. Software is even worse. Set it up & managed 2 prints then problems. Then one of the small warning stickers inside the casing came loose and got stuck to, then sucked into the nozzle. Took months of emails & checks, & photos & videos & arguing to get them to finally send a new nozzle out. When it finally arrived, the solder for a connector came away. More emails, & photos & explanations commenced to which they finally agreed to send out a whole new extruder. Fitted it, calibrated it & it seemed to work OK - for 2 days. Same issues. Contacted customer service - again. Told them I wanted a refund or a new machine. To their (belated) credit (after 3 months now) they sent a whole new machine. Built it, set it up & calibrated it and it seemed to work as it should. Printed a few different models using single, and multi-colour. However, this evening, for no reason, extruder issues, software update issues, communication with my laptop issues, filament loading issues. I've emailed elegoo to say I finally want a refund. Fed up with the nonsense. When it works, it works OK (actual prints) but the software side is a constant problem. All the while, the wee A1 Mini prints away reliably churning out print after print. All in all, the quality of the Centauri Carbon 2 is nowhere near the competition. The customer service, although fairly quick to reply, are simply not good enough to counteract the poor products unfortunately. The software side is still not in the same league as more established rivals such as Bambu Lab. One positive I will say is Elegoo's slicer. It's based on orca but it works well, even compared to bambu's version of orca. Unfortunately, actually trying to get it to connect & communicate with the printer is a challenge indeed. I just ended up transferring files to the USB stick & doing it manually from that. Sorry, this is so long but some stories can't be cut down. Think hard before buying one. If you really like a challenge then it may be good for you. I just want a reliable printer that works with the absolute minimum of fuss. Maybe I got just got lucky with my A1 Mini!
