Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptional print quality of the items and the extremely reliable, fast delivery services that consistently exceed expectations. Many consumers find the advanced 3D printers and various filaments very easy to use right out of the box and securely well-packaged upon arrival.
However, some customers also noted frustrating issues with defective hardware, unexpected software bugs, and machines breaking down shortly after basic use. A few other people experienced annoying delivery delays, exceptionally long waiting times for specific accessories, or tangled filament spools straight out of the box.
They only publish favourable reviews and bait and switch products
I tried to leave a review on their site that was not 5 stars but they don't publish them unless they are five stars, hard to believe that there are only 5 reviews on their Centauri Carbon Accessory pack and what a coincidence that are all 5 stars.
I left a 1 star review and it was not published.
I bought the Carbon because I was told Colour AMS was coming which is now obviously not the case.
I bought the accessory pack as the way it is presented on the website you get PLA-CF along with he plates etc which seemed like good value but then it only cam with PLA. When I questioned this they point to the hidden description which does show it only comes with PLA, but that is below a list which does include the PLA-CF.
Seems very deceptive to me.
Having said all this I am generally pretty happy with the printer itself and their filaments.
Using the mobile site, buying resin I would enter an amount and it would add lines to my order and I would delete the extra resin orders and it would subtract from other lines too. It was frustrating to get the order to match how much resin I wanted. I am however very happy with the product and will be buying from you again, it would be great if you made the process smoother.
A lot of damage to the shipping packaging. Some spools came damaged which causes issues to be used on my printer is it doesn't roll perfectly round anymore. Ordered 52 rolls of filament and 20% were damaged.
Heard their filaments are good and they were having a sale, so I bought five spools. It took a while for the filament to arrive and I was shocked. They taped up five filament boxes together with a bit of plastic and shipped them. Luckily the spools did not crack. I’ve yet to try out the filament, but I will not be ordering from their site again.
I bought a Saturn 2 when they first came out and was unsatisfied with the build quality of the machine. It almost like it was on a timer because the printer broke one week after the 6-month warranty expired. The post cure machine is okay, I use it when I'm too lazy to hold a UV light to resin seal my projects.
Where is the multi material system for centauri carbon???
After i bought the Centauri Carbon I've been waiting for the multi material system but Elegoo does not seem honest. Seems like a scam. I am not keen to trust Elegoo with any product, not even a fillament roll, if this system turns out to be a scam... Even if it launches, it's kind of late now. Really considering selling the printer and buying a bamboo like I should have done.
Very disappointed with this printer. I purchased this printer primarily to print ASA, ABS, and nylon. Right out of the box the first two prints failed in a mess of filament. After tweaking settings it worked "OK" for two more prints. Then the prints failed to print. No filament is being extruded! I suspect something is jammed in the print head. Right now it sits as a paperweight on the counter. I haven't had time to look into taking it apart to fix it.
Overall, I'm very disappointed in it's performance. This is not what I expected after all the hype.
A lot of printing failures with this machine where I spent more time testing adjustments and other repairs with elegoo's s.a.v service without finding a solution! She makes a good paperweight in my workshop, I was forced to change my brand to have something that allows me to print without problem!
I have had a issue with my brand new centuri carbon. With the machine that requires a warranty claim. They should have sent me a brand new machine. I have all the emails and proof that if I work on it or have anyone else look at it I would void my warranty on the machine according to their warranty. They said they would send me a refurbished machine not a brand new machine so I don't want to do that. Because I paid for a new machine I should have a new machine. Then the issue got worse. They said they could send me a new hot end. I did not feel comfortable with working on the machine. But I also don't want a refurbished machine. So end the end I have 2 options if I take the refurbished machine I would loose my warranty and if I take the new hot end I risk loosing my warranty by fixing it but I know I have a new machine that has never been used but by me. So that is what I did I request them to send me the new hot end. And I hope their is YouTube videos on how to fix this issue. Sooooo yea in my order I ordered 2 centuri carbon machines and a neptune 4 max I have not taken the 4max out of the box yet plan on it soon. The 1 carbon machine I have must have been built on a Wednesday it works flawlessly. The other one the one I have issues with must have been built on a Friday or Monday. Because it worked for a week and it crapped out. I am looking money on it.
Would I buy again. I don't know. I had hoped I could say yes. But it is up in the air. Do the people get back to me in a timely matter yes they are responsive. But they are not fixing the issue I feel in the proper way with the issue I have. Sooooo it makes me think.
I like the design of the machine and I hope to get the multi filiment machine part when they come out with it. My review of the machine will be on my Facebook page that has over 12k people in the group of makers also on YouTube along with all the contact I have had with them to try to fix the machine. The beginning date of my issue is a estimate of the date. Not exact.
From the 3 printers I brought, 2 of them gave all kinds of problems. The wires were not correctly assembled, I had to replace 2 motherboards and more ....
But not just that, the new printer have a terrible printing plate that makes you have so many unpredictable failures... It's extremely annoying. The price is good but not worth it. This comes from a person with a printing farm, so I do have a good understanding of 3D printing.
Would be a 5 but you suckered the world w the elegoo centauri carbon that would end up multi-color .... but now you've killed that project & moved onto a whole new machine (that looks like crap) .... so like a lot of other people I'll probably not but elegoo again..
thankfully the machine does single color very well so it will Stay on my bench... (that's the only reason you get 2 stars)
I'm sure their products are good when they work but I barely used mine when it stopped printing after 6 weeks. Despite months of back and forth from Customer Care, which was largely just repeated advice I had already completed... It came to naught and I sold it privately.
If
I use to love Elegoo. in fact I have 5 FDM and 2 resin Elegoo printers. 2 of them are the new Centauri Carbon.
after seeing the Centauri Carbon 2 already for release over sea and not show on my version on the webpage. (like their trying to hide it) It comes with a Multi color system that truthfully looks like something that was put together by a 12 year old and leave the filament exposed to humidity, Has a huge top that makes it almost imposable to put on a shelf, and all of the people that bought the Centauri Carbon at the time of release still have no update on our multi-color system.... that according to the webpage (before Elegoo took it down) we should have had by now.
I'm done. I am no longer going to deal with a company that likes to bate and switch and mislead there customers just to kick up the sales number.
The printers are great. I have never had a problem with any of them. They work and print great. This is about respect and trust. I am choosing not to give my hard earned money to a company that has no respect for its customers.
I am currently selling my Elegoo printers locally because if this.
I will hold on to my Centauri Carbons until last incase Elegoo decides that we, the customers, are worth Elegoo Word and Respect
