Scammers. They profess unlimited Data, but it's just 4gb before they switch your plan off. Doesn't say anything about it on the website prior to paying. Worst Sim company I have ever used.

I had booked a rooming package at my local provider, however it turned out not to be working at all. Already arrived at my first stop in the US I had to find a replacement short-term and found Travel eSIM. Order process was easy, transparent and fast, same for installing the eSIM. I bought a limited plan for Japan. Though I did not use up even 50 % of the data, the speed was extremely slow (0.25 Mbit, as others describe as well, and I did not use a lot of data on that day yet) despite full 5g signal. Makes it impossible to have a phone call in bearable quality. Makes it impossible to read even a newspaper. Purchased an esim from another company that connects to the same network and immediately got 100 Mbit/s. Further, all traffic seems to be sent first through a singaporian sever, since all websites located me there, and this may be the reason why the traffic is so slow. I don't get it. Highly not recommended. Two stars because at least the customer service was responding very fast and refunded me the unused data after several tries to fix the issue.

My second time I bought from them given the good experience I had with etravelsim customer service first time and their competitive prices. This time the USA eSIM in their offer doesn’t include Hawaii (only USA mainland - fact not mentioned). After the eSIM activation and arrival in Hawaii I was informed by their customer service about the lack of coverage and received a full refund and apologies.

I was a little disappointed that the sim card didn't work on all the networks advertised (apparently the unlimited sim doesn't include the same networks as the limited sim though I couldn't see this listed anywhere). However, support were quick to reply and happy to offer a full refund.

Although i had full 5g connection, i had an internet speed of lower than 5mb/s. I compared it with holafly - there i had 30mb/s at the same location. With an unlimited plan i Downloaded 5gb in 24 hours. After that i had a speed of 0.24mb/s 😲 Customer supports explanation: the extreme low speed is because i used too much data. Really? So nobody needs an unlinited plan per day. Then the 5gb plan is enough, because you cant use more with speed of 0.24mb/s - this means loading a website needs nearly 5min. Attention ! This is deception of customers !!!

Edited review. After initially leaving a 1 star review due to lack of customer support and not being able to use the esims I purchased. I was contacted by the company, after several days of exchanges messages whilst the situation was investigated (I’d also done a credit card recharge) I’ve received a refund of one of the eSIMs, and the credit card recharge for the other. It’s a real shame I had this experience as the first time I used this company’s eSIM I had no issues, if customer service had responded, I’m sure the eSIM itself would have been ok. I don’t like the fact I was made to look stupid by publicity saying I’d bought an eSIM for Dubai when I had not, making out the problem was mine.

Travel eSIM for Japan - 20 GB - 30 Days - Sometimes OK, sometimes utter rubbish - 5G? More like 2G I purchased two of the same data Esims. One for my iPhone 16 Pro Max and one for my partners iPhone 16 Pro and we BOTH experienced the same issues below. If not for the fact that I'd already downloaded offline maps on Google Maps for a trip to many different prefectures of Japan recently I would have really struggled with my ETravel Sim from this company. Sometimes it would say 5G, but it wouldn't bring anything up on websites or maps and I could see I was using offline maps. It was more like having 2G at times. Sometimes it would be OK and fast enough, then sometimes it would be dreadful again. I spoke with LiveChat while away and they tried to help with various setting changes but one hour/day it would be OK, then the next useless again in the exact same area. I dunno....It worked I guess...sometimes....Better than nothing at all.

I purchased the unlimited data package for Turkey. Actually the “unlimited” data was capped at 4gbs high speed a day. Some websites didn’t work at all, just like amazon. My location was some French region even though i was in turkey. This made the usage difficult. Positively i want to say that the customer support was very fast and they offered me a refund for the remaining time of my data plan, after i complained. Thanks for that
