Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently shared stories about terrible issues with customer service, pointing out that support teams were completely unhelpful and ignored their requests. Consumers also noted unexpected extra fees, disorganized booking processes, and severe flight delays that completely ruined their travel plans.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the journey was comfortable and praised the polite cabin crew during their trips. Travelers also stated that online booking was smooth and efficient, while some individuals found the overall ticket prices to be very reasonable for a budget airline service.
Very bad experience traveling with…indigoo auh to bom to cok
Very bad experience traveling with Indigo yesterday. My journey started from AUH-BOM-COK. I still haven't reached my destination because the Indigo team gave me extra travel from BOM to BLR and BLR to COK. A waste of time and money.
And also very bad customer service. Don't book with Indigo next time.
I was travelling from Kochi to London Heathrow via Mumbai on a single IndiGo booking when our Kochi–Mumbai flight was diverted due to bad weather.
While I completely understand that weather is beyond an airline's control, the way IndiGo handled the disruption was unacceptable.
The transfer desk at Mumbai Airport was absolute chaos, with no proper queue management, poor communication, and hundreds of frustrated passengers trying to get assistance.
After finally being rebooked on the next day's Mumbai–London flight, we were told to wait for transport to the hotel, but ended up waiting for over two hours because the arrangements were completely inadequate.
The biggest shock came at the hotel, where we were informed that unrelated passengers would have to share rooms. I was expected to share a room with a complete stranger, which I found unacceptable for privacy and personal security reasons, so I had to book and pay for my own hotel.
Weather disruptions can happen, but poor planning, inadequate passenger care, and expecting strangers to share hotel rooms made an already difficult situation far worse. This was by far the most disappointing airline experience I have had.
Don’t book tickets with this airline. After you book, they change the schedule, and if you cancel, they won’t refund your money. Very worst customer service
Its been 4 months now still waiting for a refund ive tried calling it disconnects when they pick up and ive emailed every email address I can find not heard nothing back im really not happy with they way they ignore me as if ill go away maybe I should go to trading standard as this is ridiculous they first messed me about changing my flight then cancelled my outbound flight told me to book another but wanted to charge me and the AI was just as bad stupid repeating itself. I didnt get to go on holiday I didnt get my refund I didnt get no reply this airline is the worst ive ever had to deal with. Im really angry as I really wanted to go away and lost my momey so couldnt book anything else why should you keep my momey if you cancelled it. I feel ignored everytime I email because that easy for them to do. Will never book another flight with you agsin lesson learned and im sure plenty of other people won't bother its just to much hassle and you dont speak to a real person. I spent a hmyear looking after my mum dying of cancer I really needed a holiday im so angry with you. 😡
IndiGo are a joke promised a refund and this never happened over £500 is due. You send emails the respond for a while then nothing I would avoid at all cost. Rip off company, customer service zero, lie after lie
I've flown a couple of times with Indigo and overall the service has been OK, the flights on time, the staff generally good. However, today and Indigo employee at BOM airport tried to charge me 1200 rupees to get the free shuttle bus. He was persistent in his con, I said that was way too much and he insisted you had to pay for the bus. Eventually he dropped his price, saying 200 rupees. I asked if he was part of the bus company and he disappeared. I got on the bus, friendly staff, it was a free shuttle. There's a lot of people trying to scam around cities, but you hope you can trust airline staff at an airport. Wish I'd got his name to be able report him specifically. I hope Indigo can tighten up their regulations and clamp down on this kind of behaviour.
Booked through Expedia in November for travel to Penang from Chennai by Indigo,in January. Had to cancel and duly informed both Expedia and Indigo.
Indigo authorised a refund of £118 after deducting admin costs, and said Expedia will pay me the refund. Expedia came back and said low cost airlines are responsible for their own refunds. After numerous calls and e-mails, Indigo agreed to look into it but wanted all the details and proof of booking and payments etc., eventhough with the reference code they already have the details. Anyway this was done and their last communication was on 1st of May and since then there has been no response or communication! They claim about their best customer support, which truly is shambles!

I will never fly with Air Indigo again and highly recommend that no one does! Our flight was re-routed due to a rain storm in Singapore (not Air Indigo's fault) and the nightmare began. We missed our connecting flight and it took Air Indigo until 5 am to find us a place to stay and they lost our baggage (4 suitcases)!! We were delayed in Singapore for 2 days and when we got back to the airport, we only got back 3 of our 4 suitcases. They said the 4th suitcase was in the airport but they didn't have time to get it to us. They were going to send it on to our next stop (Sydney). It did not arrive. To make a long story short, after many weeks, they said that they found the bag in Sydney. My daughter went to the airport and it was not to be found. We asked them to get it back to Toronto. They would not. They said that they would get it to Delhi. My other daughter went to the airport on 2 different occasions and still no bag. Now after 4+ months, they said that they do not know where it is. There was $1500 worth of items in that suitcase and no compensation for loss or headache. How can an airline be so irresponsible?!! Some of the lost items are irreplaceable.
Booked an international flight with transit at Mumbai. They changed the schedule without notifying me to have 55 min transit at Mumbai. When I asked for an alternative option they said will refund the amount. What should I do book another high priced ticket from them. Book early to avoid high pricing yet they found another way ti steal from coustomer. Truly disappointing.
Had a flight from Mumbai to Male which was around 40 minutes away from landing and then got notificaiton of an "operational issue". We then had to land in Bangalore with literally no direction, We were sat on the plane for around 40 minutes with no update, Then once they finally said we cant use this plane, We had to wait as they hadnt had customs clearance so had to wait even longer. Due to this we missed our transfer to our hotel and then had to stay an extra night in male so lost a day in our hotel in maldeves, There was no empathy on this, just an employee saying email customer service (knowing they wouldn't help at all). Honestly I would avoid, although it may be cheaper, it's true what they say, you get what you pay for. I was really hoping for a better experience but I will never be using them again and highly recommend whoever is reading this to pay the extra X amount and go with a better airline.
Too clunky of a process. Took 5 days, 3 phone calls. Got ride set up and money on the card. Then the called em and canceled. It shouldn't be this hard.
I have never experienced such a catastrophic situation with an airline.
Our return journey from the Maldives to Belgium turned into a complete nightmare due to IndiGo’s handling of the trip.
After a first flight to Mumbai that went smoothly, our flight to Istanbul was delayed and then cancelled after boarding. We were made to wait for nearly four hours in a small room with no toilets, no water, no food, and not enough seating, with no clear information provided.
We were then rebooked on a flight almost 12 hours later, without any hotel, meals, or meaningful assistance. The staff were unpleasant and unable to provide any explanations.
In Istanbul, we were then denied boarding to Brussels because the tickets reissued by IndiGo had not even been properly registered. After several hours of waiting and discussions, we eventually managed to get another flight. The result: nearly two days of delay.
As if that were not enough, all three of our checked bags were lost for more than two weeks. On top of that, IndiGo staff forced us to check in our cabin bag at Mumbai. When it was finally returned, two watches worth approximately €500 in total were missing. Despite this, we were denied any compensation on the grounds that valuables should not be placed in checked luggage—while it was their staff who required us to do so.
Overall: nearly two days of delay, no assistance, terrible communication, administrative errors, three lost bags, and stolen personal belongings.
I understand that disruptions can happen in air travel. However, the way IndiGo treats its passengers when they do is simply unacceptable.
I strongly do not recommend this airline. By far the worst travel experience I have ever had.
Flight 6E6261

Delhi to Ahmedabad
Flight have so many issues , generating multiple sounds from different different parts, it is very risky to travel !
I'm writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding a damaged baggage claim during my recent travel with IndiGo.
Upon arrival, I discovered that my American Tourister suitcase, valued at Rs. 15,000, had sustained significant damage, specifically a missing wheel. While attempting to file a claim, I found the conduct of the ground staff to be highly unprofessional. I was pressured into accepting a minimal compensation offer under the threat that pursuing a formal resolution through your backend team would be a protracted and difficult process. Furthermore, the staff displayed a dismissive attitude, stating that I should consider myself fortunate that no items were missing from the bag.
The claim process itself took approximately an hour, which caused a significant delay to my onward journey. As a result, I was forced to transport a damaged suitcase over a distance of 200 kilometers from the airport, causing me considerable physical hardship and inconvenience.
The level of service provided by the IndiGo ground staff was entirely unacceptable and fell well below the standards I expected. Given this experience, I am deeply disappointed and will be reconsidering my choice of airline for future travel.
I believe the current resolution is inadequate given the significant damage to my property and the undue hardship I experienced throughout this process.
My credit card refunded my money for the flight cancellation, but Indigo isn't happy about it. They're trying to recover the amount, but my credit card has refused their challenge. They state that they don't believe the retailer's comments are valid. As such, we've continued to challenge the dispute further.
I recommend to everyone to use credit card for payments at least there are guarantees something goes wrong you will get your money back.
Indigo is a Terrible airline I am waiting for my Refund since March 26 Indigo team had written to me that I will have my refund in 7 to 10 working days on 23rd March 26 no sign of refund as yet despite many others mails sent to me after my follow up mails.Even The nodal officers on Air Sewa portal did say to me four times since March that no concern we are following up and prioritisings They have undermined the air sewa platform by saving issue Resolved without refunding my dues. Never ever book or travel this airlines Absolutely Crap Airline Sanjeev Gulati
Very Friendly Air Hostress, travelled with a Baby from Mumbai to Amsterdam on 19th June, 2026. Staff's are very friendly and helps me to take care of Baby well. Timely Response, friendly service, particularly Thanks to Sonali, Durva and Samreen.
Only suggestion i can say is, since I travelled with Baby they could have check in my Carry on Baggage. Whenever baby slept I couldn't handle 2 Carry on Baggage and sleeping Baby inside the Airport.
