Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently shared stories about terrible issues with customer service, pointing out that support teams were completely unhelpful and ignored their requests. Consumers also noted unexpected extra fees, disorganized booking processes, and severe flight delays that completely ruined their travel plans.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the journey was comfortable and praised the polite cabin crew during their trips. Travelers also stated that online booking was smooth and efficient, while some individuals found the overall ticket prices to be very reasonable for a budget airline service.
PATHETIC staff at Netaji subhas Chandra airport Kolkata named Sundip Rana, who discarded my hidden disability and told I don’t look disabled inspite of me showing him a UK DISABILITY CARD.
Such an uneducated and illiterate staff should not be allowed to have this job. I request strict disciplinary measures to be taken against such people who disregard people with hidden disabilities inspite of physical proof.
SUNDIP RANA “SHAME ON YOU “
INDIGO AIRLINES DO BETTER !!
Terrible seats I would say 0 stars if possible but unfortunately I have to stick with 1 star. Flight got delayed and it has been 1 hour since we reached the airport but yet I am not on the flight that was supposed to be here an hour ago and boarding hasn’t started and terrible customer service. This airline can be described by 3 words horrible, terrible and awful. Flight cancellation is a big thing that was faced in a recent flight I went on. I not writing this review cause I’m waiting here and I’m mad ( of course that’s also a reason) but I am writing it to make sure no else goes through what I have just gone through
Crew onboard was very unprofessional and rude as I was travelling with my family. Staff named Mahima who was not smiling while communicating like others behaved worst among all as in when I asked her extra copy of form which they were distributing earlier while landing, she asked me what I want I told her when it is safe to do so to give me a form, she said they don't have and they never gave any forms then I pointed at crew who gave that form which was her so she said , she can't hear anything. After landing she will come to me. I was just 2nd last row from behind. She heard everything clearly as other customers were also trying to tell her but initially she could talk later she pretended she couldn't hear. As there was no difference in distance or engine noise. Even after landing she decided to ignore me. All customers left she still didn't come and was eating along with her colleague in galley area. When I approached her she still didn't helped me and commented about my young child and my old parents that how we made her flight bad. As my parents were carrying their own food and water along with my child whom I was taking care throughout. They didn't even spoke to any of the staff or asked anything to anyone , how could she say such things about them. Infact as a passenger I noticed unprofessional behaviour of her, dirty and smelly, wet washrooms, no smile on anyone's face including Mahima who even accused me and my family that because my parents and my child were someone she took care she doesn't want to give extra form to me. Wow. What a customer service and I waited to get a link so I could send them my feedback, I haven't received any. I don't know y. May b because I already complaint to her and her supervisor for her approach and behaviour, supervisor said she will speak to her. It was horrible experience. We don't travel free and as airline is such low cost we don't expect anything except basic humanity and kindness however I think with staff like Mahima it's too much to ask for.
I travelled from Manchester to Hyderabad in May 2026. My overall experience has been poor . The customer service is appalling. The staff in Mumbai and customer service department in indigo repeatedly lied about my booking and refused to help . This journey affected my physical and mental health and I will not travel by indigo. Inspite of my agent showing that I was booked in stretch they made me travel in economy even though I paid 1600 pounds. They refused to acknowledge their mistake and repeatedly lied
There was a mistake in the gender of a passenger, she was a female but their system was showing her as male. I tried contacting the agency they said contact with the airline, when i talked with them they said they can't because a third party did the booking. Tell me now if even the airline can't do a change who can? The change wasn't a big deal that they couldn't.
One of the worst travel experiences I have ever had was on my IndiGo flight from Delhi to Gorakhpur last Thursday.
The customer service at the airport was very disappointing. Not enough staff at the counter. Many staff members were rude, showed little kindness, and whenever passengers asked for assistance, they were told to wait for a long time without proper information. I noticed that many people at the counter were frustrated with the service.
As a passenger requiring wheelchair assistance, I found the process especially difficult. I had to repeatedly explain my medical condition to different staff members, which was stressful and unnecessary. Airport and airline staff should be trained to show more empathy, respect, and professionalism when assisting passengers with medical needs.
I also felt that Indian passengers were being given priority over Nepali passengers, which made the experience even more upsetting.
What stood out was that an Indian police officer who witnessed the situation spoke to me calmly and apologized for the incident because he had seen the difficulties and confusion firsthand. His kindness was appreciated and contrasted sharply with the behavior of some airline staff.
I hope IndiGo takes this feedback seriously and improves its customer service, particularly regarding wheelchair assistance, communication, and respectful treatment of all passengers regardless of nationality.
Airport Changed from Manchester to London – Poor Support for Elderly Passengers
I am extremely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled by IndiGo.
My elderly parents were booked on a return journey between India and Manchester. They successfully travelled to the UK, but after the booking was made, IndiGo changed the return itinerary and moved the departure airport from Manchester to London.
This is not a minor schedule adjustment. We live in Preston and do not own a vehicle. Travelling to London would require a 6–7 hour journey, significant additional transport costs, and considerable physical strain for my elderly parents. They would then have to undertake a long international flight followed by further travel within India. For elderly passengers, this is simply not a reasonable alternative.
What is most frustrating is that such a significant change was made without providing a practical solution for affected passengers. Moving a departure airport by hundreds of miles completely changes the nature of the journey and creates substantial inconvenience and expense.
When I contacted IndiGo's customer support team, I was informed that I may be eligible for a full refund due to the schedule change. However, because the booking was made through a travel agent, IndiGo could not confirm the actual refund amount that would be returned. I was also told that the ticket had been issued through a different currency arrangement with the travel agent, despite the fact that I paid £1,498 GBP for the booking.
As a customer, I find it unacceptable that neither the airline nor the travel agent can provide clear and transparent information about the refund value following a major schedule disruption. Passengers should not be left chasing answers between multiple companies when the disruption was caused by changes to the airline's schedule.
While the customer service representatives were polite, the overall experience has been stressful, confusing and disappointing. I expected better support and greater transparency from an international airline when dealing with elderly passengers affected by a significant itinerary change.
I hope IndiGo reviews this case and improves the way it handles major schedule changes, particularly where elderly travellers are involved. Based on this experience, I would think very carefully before booking with IndiGo again.
Very common things they are doing.
(1). When the flight is in the air, indigo close the front washrooms, saying "out of order" but that is totally false. The passenger has to go back and sit. The air hostages are doing this because they just want to get relaxed.
(2). in case of buying food on board, passenger must keep the exact notes. If the price is for example, Rs. 150 and tender Rs. 200, there will be no change from them.
(3). if you want to pay with credit card, they will take the credit card and keep with them. They will not return until you repeatedly remind them.
Absolutely terrible, never book with these people. They deliberately have made it impossible to cancel my flight, after they rescheduled it to a time completely unreasonable.
I am absolutely disgusted by the way IndiGo has treated my family and me throughout this entire ordeal.
Our journey from Amritsar to Manchester was ruined because of IndiGo's delays, causing us to miss our onward connection despite travelling on a single booking. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability and the false promises made by IndiGo staff.
Indigo assured us that vouchers would be provided as compensation. We relied on these assurances, only for IndiGo to later backtrack on what had been promised. Being told one thing and then having the airline deny or withdraw those commitments is completely unacceptable and feels dishonest.
As a direct result of IndiGo's failure, we incurred significant additional costs, including hotel accommodation for two nights, food and drink expenses, and taxi fares. Instead of receiving support during a stressful situation, we were left to sort everything out ourselves while receiving conflicting information from different representatives.
The customer service throughout this experience has been appalling. There was little empathy, poor communication, and no genuine effort to take responsibility for the inconvenience, financial loss and stress caused to passengers.
An airline's true quality is measured by how it looks after customers when things go wrong. Based on my experience, IndiGo failed completely. I would strongly urge travellers not to book with this airline. What should have been a straightforward journey turned into an expensive and frustrating nightmare because of IndiGo's poor handling of the situation and broken promises.
I am extremely disappointed and will be pursuing compensation for all additional expenses incurred as a result of this disruption.
I am not 100% satisfied with the service. The people working there is too cruel and there is no customer service support.
Cheap fare with cheap service, understandable.
This was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.
My flight was delayed at the last moment, and because of the disruption I ended up having to spend hours sleeping outside the airport. To make things worse, my connecting flight was changed without proper information or communication from the airline. Instead of helping passengers manage the situation, I was left confused, stressed, and forced to figure things out on my own.
After I filed a complaint, I was told I would receive compensation. Since February 18 until now (June 4), more than three months have passed. I have followed up repeatedly by email and have been told at least five separate times that the money would be deposited within a week. Not once did that happen.
Delays can happen in aviation, but poor communication, lack of accountability, and repeatedly giving assurances without delivering made this experience unacceptable.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience changed my opinion completely. I would rather pay more or take a longer route than go through this again.
I have been traveling from Hyd to Mumbai by Indigo and Mumbai to us by virgin atlantic flight.
The service and respect got from virgin atlantic is 5 out of 5 , but from indigo 2 out of 5 . It's based on service means not even a bigger , it's very small help in saying yes for to give a glass of water.
Their attitude towards passenger shown in just a second.
I am a frequent traveler with Indigo. Overall l have an average experience with the airline. Their services are good but the food they serve (even on international flights) is pathetic.
I recently traveled on an Indigo flight from Langkawi to Bangalore, and during the journey, my check-in baggage was damaged. When I approached the Indigo support team, although the response was initially a little slow, the entire process was handled professionally and completed smoothly.
I truly appreciate the support provided by the Indigo staff. Initially, I was offered an Indigo gift voucher, which I declined. Since the required luggage was not immediately in stock, I requested courier delivery instead, and I’m happy to say the replacement baggage was successfully delivered within five days.
Thank you to the entire team for the customer service and assistance throughout the process. I genuinely appreciate the effort taken to resolve the issue satisfactorily, and I would love to travel with Indigo again in the future.
We recently traveled with Indigo From Amsterdam to Lucknow via Mumbai . We had very good experience, flight was on time , cabin crew employees were very kind , Food was ok .
First time travelling internationally through Indigo. So was sceptical. But Diandra made the journey so beautiful and memorable. Always smiling, soft spoken and patient. I travel very frequently (almost monthly) and she is one of the best air hostess I have met so for. Please convey my sincere thanks to her and wish all air company’s employ and train air hostesses like that so every ones journey gets as beautiful and comfortable as mine
