Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently shared stories about terrible issues with customer service, pointing out that support teams were completely unhelpful and ignored their requests. Consumers also noted unexpected extra fees, disorganized booking processes, and severe flight delays that completely ruined their travel plans.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the journey was comfortable and praised the polite cabin crew during their trips. Travelers also stated that online booking was smooth and efficient, while some individuals found the overall ticket prices to be very reasonable for a budget airline service.
I booked a single itinerary with BA and highly dissapointment with Indigo
I booked a single itinerary with British Airways, which included an IndiGo flight from Hyderabad to Mumbai. Unfortunately, my experience with IndiGo was extremely disappointing.
Customer support is not available 24/7, which is unacceptable for an airline serving international travellers. I also had to spend nearly an hour on chat just to obtain a booking reference for online check-in, and I still couldn't check in for the Hyderabad–Mumbai flight.
The biggest frustration was the baggage policy. Despite travelling on a British Airways ticket, IndiGo refused to honour the BA cabin baggage allowance and enforced its own rules, forcing me to leave behind several kilograms of my belongings.
If partner airlines cannot provide a seamless experience with consistent baggage policies, proper check-in support, and reliable customer service, they should not market these journeys as a single booking. I wish I had chosen a different airline.
Very very bad service I had with Indigo I never ever seen like this flight because my son 16 he travelled alone London to Hyderabad and they didn’t gave food in flight I didn’t see like this worst service and need to ban like this flight
❌ Horrible Experience – Completely Overpriced and Disgusting Service. This is by far the worst airline I have ever traveled with. We had just completed a smooth 15-hour journey from Manchester to Hyderabad with our 6-year-old child, who was tired but doing well. However, our subsequent 4-hour connection from Hyderabad to Bangkok with IndiGo completely ruined our trip and left us incredibly frustrated. Despite charging a hefty 20,000 RS for the ticket, IndiGo provided absolutely zero value. The seats were awful with no headrests, no blankets were provided, there was no inflight entertainment, and the crew kept the AC turned off for most of the flight. It felt like a complete lack of respect for our hard-earned money. To make matters worse, because it was a 5:50 AM morning flight, we expected breakfast to be included, only to find out it was not. Since my child was hungry, I bought food onboard, which turned out to be a complete joke. They charged 400 RS for cheap, instant cup noodles. Out of pure hunger, my child ate it, but later vomited because the food was nothing but unhealthy maida. It is truly disgusting that an airline charges so much but provides such terrible conditions and low-quality food. I will never fly with IndiGo again and highly warn anyone traveling with family to avoid them.

We flew from manchester to mumbai. Great experience, flight was on time, cabin crew was courteous, very tasty meals ...am deeply saddened by the news that indigo have discontinued their direct flights to mumbai from manchester, uk . Have flown with them 3 times in past 12 months, each time was a great experience
We travelled from Turkey to Bangkok with air indigo, with a layover in New Dehli. Despite all of the mixed reviews, our travel went perfectly. Both flights were on time, our bags turned out fine and the food that was provided was good. No complaints for a low cost airline, perfect for the price, leg room was good too!
Having flown quite regularly with the airline, the on-board staff are very good.
Booked a return for 13th-22nd July, and had to fly out before due to Father being admitted to hospital. Sought credit as an alternative to rebook again but met with obstruction.
Seems the team insists on alms. Hope you enjoy the charity and never be in the situation i find myself in. Take that to your CEO.
Today, that is 12/07/2026 I travelled from GOA to AHMEDABAD from Indigo Airlines flight number 6E 112, LANDING was not good. I donno about aeronautics bt felt that descent was fast and while landing it dangled sideways for couple of seconds. Everybody was looking here and there that what happened? Finally after landing all were discussimg that only that what happened at the last? Everybody was scared. I donno how many will bring this to attention but i request you to report this and look in to it.
Thanks
If i could rate thus company 0 stars i would. Booking a flight from Manchester to Thailand with a layover in india ment we got an inflight meal due to the long haul. I have coeliac (gluten free) one of the most common food allergies catered for worldwide, ive been catered for on every other flight ive ever been on with a gluten free meal option. After much back and forth with their appalling customer service i was told to either starve, try bring my own food, or dont fly. I am absolutely DISGUSTED and will never be using this airline again, not to mention they catered for halal and vegetarian ect but cant for coeliac. They also wouldnt partial refund as i wont be able to eat the meal included in my ticket price. I genuinely have never experienced this kind of discrimination, especially when they couldnt seem to care less!!!!!! I hope people avoid this airline like the plague
Poor experience & very worst behavior from indigo staffs. Even pay little more in addition & try to book in different airlines. Utterly worst worst experience & response from this poor team. I dont like it, they deserve anything lessthan 0
Dear Indigo
We are delaying in departure, baggage pickup delay, and ground staff are rude and plan to cancel or board next flight with high charges
Please don’t choose indigo
Indigo please go
This was the strangest experience, and also the most frustrating experience I've ever had on Indigo. Just as we were about to land at our destination, the pilot decided to fly to another city! Was a politician on board? Needless to say I missed my international connection. I refuse to fly Indigo again.
PLEASE READ & UNDERSTAND MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING! As with everything these days the costs was why we booked as it was a fraction of the costs of the major airlines. Manchester to Phuket one way for 3 passengers was £1500 and was a good price initially , until the changes started.
We booked with a 3 hour lay over in Mumbai, then it got changed to a 1 hour lay over in New Delhi within terminal 3, THEN…… it got changed to landing in New Delhi at 4am Terminal 3, to connecting flight at terminal 2 that the boarding gate closed at 3.55am!
So they wanted us to accept a new flight that closed before we had even landed.
When researched the average departing time of the first flight out of Manchester was on average 76 minutes late departure over a 3 month period , so there was never any chance of us making any connecting flight.
Money is not everything at times, peace of mind is priceless.
Please take my advice and avoid like I should have done from the start by reading other reviews.
Do not fly with Indigo. Both their flights took off late and they play tricks to make you pay more for your flights. Their website is terrible; it does not let you pre-fill your passengers' details, so you must fill in a huuuge amount of information during booking and AGAIN during checkin. The website times out after about 15 minutes, so you must start all over again. If you do not check in within 3 hours of departure, they force you to pay extra but they do not tell you in advance - they say you can check in up to 60 minutes before your flight but they don't mention that you're forced to pay extra (or you cannot check-in). Deceitful practices.
Extremely Disappointed With the Airline and Its Cabin Crew
I travelled on three separate sectors—Hyderabad to Chennai, Hyderabad to Puducherry, and Mumbai to Hyderabad—and unfortunately, the cabin-crew experience was consistently poor on all three flights.
There was no personal dispute or argument, but the general attitude of the crew was dismissive, unfriendly and lacking basic courtesy. On one occasion, a crew member handed me a small bottle of water in a manner that felt almost as though it was being thrown at me. Passengers should never be made to feel like cattle simply because they are travelling on a budget airline.
Budget pricing does not excuse poor behaviour. Courtesy, professionalism and hospitality cost nothing. Cabin crew are the public face of an airline, and airlines and travel services are often among the first impressions visitors form of a country.
India is a nation with a proud tradition of hospitality, generosity and respect for guests. It is deeply disappointing to see that legacy undermined by poorly trained staff and an airline culture that appears to tolerate such behaviour.
If an airline has been allowed to dominate important domestic routes, it carries an even greater responsibility to treat passengers properly rather than taking them for granted.
The management must seriously review how its cabin crew are recruited, trained and supervised. India aspires to be a global superpower, but that ambition must also be reflected in the attitude, professionalism and service standards experienced by ordinary travellers.
Extremely disappointing.
Today, while traveling from Sharjah to Kashmir with IndiGo flight no 6E 1428, my family had a very disappointing experience during check-in.
We were carrying excess baggage and fully understood that the applicable charges had to be paid. However, the issue was not the baggage fee—it was the extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of the Arabic lady at the check-in counter.
Her attitude was rude, intimidating, and lacking in basic customer service. She spoke to my family in a manner that made us feel humiliated and distressed. As frequent travelers with IndiGo, this is the first time we have experienced such treatment, and it left a very negative impression on us.
We paid the excess baggage charges without any objection, but there is no justification for treating passengers disrespectfully. Every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy, patience, and professionalism, regardless of the situation.
I respectfully request that IndiGo management investigate this incident, review the conduct of the staff member involved, and take appropriate action. Proper customer service training should also be provided to ensure that no other family has to go through such an unpleasant experience.
We have always chosen IndiGo for our travels because of our positive experiences, and we hope the airline will address this matter seriously.
Extremely poor service and unsatisfactory food quality. Cabin crew behaved in a rude manner and often felt the lack of respect and courtesy. requested a drink and offered to pay but it seems only way to get a preferred drink is to upgrade to stretch class.
I travelled from London Heathrow (LHR) to Bengaluru (BLR) on 6th of July and I had a very bad experience with Indigo.
My connecting flight from Delhi to Bengaluru was originally scheduled for 2:30 PM. I arrived in Delhi at 12:10 PM, completed immigration, and took a taxi to the other terminal to catch my connecting flight. I reached the terminal before 1:40 PM, well before the boarding time.
However, I was informed that I could not board the 2:30 PM flight because Indigo had already rebooked me on a 7:30 PM flight. The explanation I was given was that they expected my Heathrow to Delhi flight to be delayed and assumed I would miss my connection. They changed my booking without informing me or asking for my consent.
I explained how much effort I had made to reach the terminal on time and that I had arrived well before boarding closed, but no one listened to me. The staff members were extremely rude and showed no understanding of my situation. I was crying and sweating after rushing from one terminal to another, yet they simply left me there without offering any help or even suggesting an alternative.
I had a terrible experience with the Indigo staff. Their customer service was completely unacceptable. I eventually had to seek help elsewhere because no one at the Indigo counter was willing to assist me.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend flying with Indigo. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and complete disregard for passengers made this one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.
The worst airline in the world. I do not recommend. Not only did I lose a whole day of my vacation due to delays, I have also been fighting for compensation for 5 months. I do not recommend, away from these lines.
