Very bad service
Very bad service. There was no food, no drinks, nothing provided during the flight. Why is the service like this? Everything was delayed as well. I am very disappointed and will never fly with this airline again.

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently shared stories about terrible issues with customer service, pointing out that support teams were completely unhelpful and ignored their requests. Consumers also noted unexpected extra fees, disorganized booking processes, and severe flight delays that completely ruined their travel plans. Conversely, a small portion of people felt the journey was comfortable and praised the polite cabin crew during their trips. Travelers also stated that online booking was smooth and efficient, while some individuals found the overall ticket prices to be very reasonable for a budget airline service.

Worst website. Poor performance and you won't be able to make web check in
**THE worst airline experience I have ever had. I would never recommend flying with IndiGo.** My Amsterdam to Mumbai flight was cancelled and moved approximately 24 hours later. IndiGo did not clearly tell me that my travel date had changed - they simply said the flight had been “rescheduled”. I only discovered I was flying on a different day because I checked the new itinerary myself. They also failed to clearly explain my options following the cancellation. I wasn't told about Plan B or the alternative rebooking/refund options available to me. I had to research everything myself and then contact IndiGo to find out what I could do. Unfortunately, I trusted them to still get me to my final destination. The replacement flight was then delayed, causing me to miss my onward connections from Mumbai to Perth. Once in Mumbai at transfers, the customer service was THE WORST. IndiGo refused to put me onto another suitable flight because my booking had apparently “already been changed” - despite the previous change being made by IndiGo, not me. No comms at the desk, just kept telling people to sit down. No hotel offered, kept being told that I had missed my flight so I had to sort it out and find a new one. Which I did, but I only just made it to the new flight as the process took 3 hours. No meaningful alternative was provided and I ultimately had to purchase new flights myself to get home, as well as pay for additional accommodation. I spent approximately ++ €900 because of the disruption and arrived roughly 30 hours later than originally planned. Despite IndiGo not getting me to my final destination, I was only offered a partial refund/compensation and am still chasing the outstanding money weeks later. Their communication since then has been just as bad. I have been told the refund was approved, then that it was being verified, then awaiting approval, then in the “late stages of processing”, then “expedited”, then back “under review” and requiring further verification. Every time I contact them, I receive a different explanation. They already have all of my banking information, yet continue quoting 15–21 days while nobody can clearly explain what is actually preventing the payment from being processed. Flight delays and cancellations happen. What has made this experience so terrible is **IndiGo's complete failure in communication and customer service when something went wrong.** Poor communication. Poor disruption management. No clear explanations. Inadequate assistance. Repeatedly changing information. Extremely slow refund processing. I would never book a long-haul journey with IndiGo again, particularly one involving connecting flights.
On June 28th, I experienced a 1.5-hour delay on my Indigo flight from Amsterdam to Indonesia, with a layover in Mumbai. The cabin air quality was unsatisfactory, and the meal service offered only one vegetarian option. While the hospitality provided by the cabin crew was commendable, I empathize with their working conditions. The in-flight entertainment system was subpar. Subsequently, on June 29th, my flight from Mumbai to Jakarta, a 6.5-hour journey, required additional payment for food and beverages, which I found to be an unexpected policy. The cabin crew on this leg of the journey also demonstrated exceptional friendliness. Overall, I am disappointed with the experience and hope for improved offerings in the future, especially considering the significant fare of 950 euros paid by passengers.
I had heard it from others to avoid Indigo airlines for their shady antics to earn money but somehow ended booking it for my elderly alone travelling parents and today I realized that I made the biggest mistake of booking flights with indigo for my elderly parents. Such shameful and uncourteous staff that they even have no shame in harassing an elderly senior citizen couple. No words to describe the behavior of the check-in duty manager at the counter. Firstly they were misguided to another counter by an indigo on ground personnel. When they finally reached the correct counter all rushed and puffed and naturally a few mins late. The supervisor instead of empathy showed absolutely pathetic attitude and didn't even listen to them. Their bags had been weighed and they were all about to be issued the boarding pass by the check in staff but the sinister check in manager arrived and said no you can't go and will have to pay extra in order to take next flight. Clearly all they want to do is steal money out of helpless and vulnerable elderly by misguiding them to wrong check in counters and then deny flight after making them late to charge extra money for a seat in the next one. Shame on you indigo.....really shameless airlines. Full of shit ethics and no morals. Feel ashamed that India has an airline like you that can stoop so low to earn just a few bucks. The stress, tension and harassment my parents had to go through for this petty ploy of yours to earn money...is unforgivable. No wonder everyone hates you. Don't worry...just keep doing like this...wait and watch and soon you'll see where sun sets. I for sure ain't coming onboard to your aircrafts ever. I hope anyone reading this takes a note and realizes what they are signing up for when they book indigo. Avoid.... avoid...avoid at all costs if you can. Wish I could give negative (-5) stars.. Absolutely pathetic airline and a shame for India.
Travelled London to Mumbai and back. Each a 9.5 hour flight. No gluten free option on the first flight. For the second flight, had a chat with their customer services, who struggled to understand that vegan and gluten-free are not the same. When I finally made him understand that, he checked back and advised that they couldn't serve me gluten-free meal on the flight. The request was made more than 5 days before the flight. They simply have no understanding of coeliacs and no provision for gluten-free meal. Very disappointed. A low cost airline should not be given premium long-haul sectors. I understand that the route will be discontinued at the end of August. Serves them right.
For the past 2 hours we are stranded aboard Indigo Flt No. 6E1492 from Ras Al Khaimah to Mumbai. Schedule time for take off was 2340 hrs. Its 0145 hrs now and the flight is yet to take off. Boarding was completed and closed by 2300 hrs... can the airline pls help contact DGCA to expedite clearance...
I travelled from Mauritius to Bangalore. The checking and boarding was fast. Very good service offered by a lady.
Today, I traveled from Mumbai to Bangalore by Indigo flight 6E5071. Flight was in time.Aircraft was Airbus A321 neo. Good service and customer care from check in till boarding. After boarding the flight, when I was occupying my SEAT in Row 4, I observed that, there is a partial partition of Hard Acrylic sheet between row 3 & 4. Probably it is to separate economy class from business class. This plastic sheet is opaque and is not visible easily. Particularly when we are in a hurry to occupy the seat, it is likely that, one may get hurt. I suggest to replace this sheet with soft cloth of Indigo blue home color. Hope, Indego management will acknowledge this suggestion and will look into the possibility of implementing. Thanks. Prakash Kadam, Bangalore. 9341215974,
Worst in-flight service I’ve ever experienced
I tried IndiGo for the first time this year after hearing that it was decent from other people. That was not the case for me like many others clearly. I was trying to do their online check-in so that I would save my family some trouble later on, and after painstakingly typing in my details multiple times for almost an hour: I went through all of their add-ons (twice for some reason), seat reservations, etc and at the very end, they decided to tell me that we were not eligible for online check-in. Then, after all that, we tried to talk to their customer support and they weren't helpful at all. We had some separate issues with our flights before this, and their customer service was the exact same then as well. They wouldn't answer our questions properly, they took their sweet time and rushed us after 1 minute, they started talking about completely irrelevant issues multiple times with multiple different people. All in all, I would never recommend this to future fliers.
Scammy airline at its best worse than the two UK airlines who they have followed the the footsteps of, my flight in india leaves in 3 months flights for a short internal flight is around £300, cancellation charge £56...I would not use this airline ever again, if there was another alternative, avoid like the plague, customer service is like, suck it up, don't care, we have enough mugs in India, we now have 2 more in the UK
My experience with Indigo was absolutely unacceptable and one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. They forcefully denied me to travel as they said there was a correction in my ticket.Instead of helping resolve what was clearly a genuine situation,Indigo staff refused to assist and simply denied me boarding. There was no effort to explore a solution, no guidance, and no willingness to help. What makes this even more disturbing is i was traveling due to a medical emergency. I explained my situation to the staff, hoping for compassion and support, but my condition was completely ignored. I was left stranded, humiliated, and under immense emotional stress. As a result of this incident, I suffered financial loss, missed my urgent travel, and experienced unnecessary anxiety during an already difficult time. While I respect the need for airlines to follow security and identification policies, I expected professionalism, empathy, and basic customer care. Unfortunately, I received none. I strongly urge Indigo to review how its staff handle genuine passenger issues and emergencies. Policies should never come at the expense of humanity. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Indigo to anyone and will think twice before ever choosing this airline again. This experience showed me that Indigo seems more interested in making money than taking care of its passengers.
By far the worst airline experience I have ever had. I have travelled extensively around the world, and my wife is a cabin crew member for an international airline. Never have I experienced such a complete lack of customer service. We were caught in heavy traffic and arrived 5 minutes after boarding had closed. Fine. Rules are rules. We accepted it, paid the penalty, and booked another flight departing just one hour later. What happened next was unbelievable. We were sitting right in front of the departure gate having a quick meal when I received a call from the gate staff. It took me less than a minute to walk to the counter. I was then told the gate had already closed. I was only around two minutes late after gate closure, yet they had already requested my luggage to be removed from the aircraft. Not a single person made the slightest effort to help. No common sense. No empathy. No customer care. Just “the gate is closed” repeated over and over like robots. The staff seemed to know only one thing: repeat company policy. They showed no initiative, no professionalism, and absolutely no willingness to assist a customer. Even the cabin crew were cold, expressionless, and unwelcoming. Throughout the flight, it felt as though customer service simply did not exist. As a Sales and Marketing professional, I can confidently say Indigo has completely forgotten that passengers are human beings, not just booking references. Following procedures is important, but great airlines know how to combine procedures with professionalism, empathy, and good judgement. Indigo failed on every one of those points. This airline may be low-cost, but that should never be an excuse for treating passengers this way. I will never fly with Indigo again, and I strongly advise anyone who values customer service to look elsewhere.
Never fly with IndiGo Airlines. They provide an absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional service.I booked five tickets on 21st July to travel from Manchester to Cochin on 22nd July. Within two hours of booking, our flight was rescheduled. We ended up waiting for 3 hours in Manchester and another 6 hours in Delhi. To make matters worse, our flight from Delhi to Cochin was cancelled and rescheduled through Hyderabad Airport, causing an additional 3-hour delay. No food or water was supplied to any of the passengers during these extended delays. Our return flight on 3rd August was also changed twice from Cochin Airport, and we were forced to wait for 8 hours at the Mumbai airport due to a cancellation. I never received any notifications regarding these flight changes, and there were absolutely no IndiGo staff members available at the gate areas. Furthermore, their customer service team does not answer any calls. When booking on their website, I chose the second booking option which explicitly includes free meals. However, food was only provided on the Manchester-to-Delhi and Mumbai-to-Manchester legs of the journey. Please avoid travelling with this company. They fail to meet basic international aviation service standards. I highly recommend reporting their operations to the UK aviation authorities.
They are the worst airline with all kinds of hidden fee and the baggage fee we encountered were more than 3x of the ticket price for one bag . There is no limit on the bag price and they charged us close to 13000 rupee for the 1 check in bag and one carry on bag when the flight ticket was only 5000 rupee . They are crooks
Very bad experience. Without informing the passenger rescheduled the international connection flight and long layover time they didn't give any food or other facility
This airline rescheduled my flight by nearly two hours and didn't bother offering a single alternative. No options, no consultation, just a notification announcing that my day was now theirs to rearrange. The consequences were entirely mine to absorb. I missed an important meeting and paid almost 3000 rupees for a taxi to salvage what was left of my plans, a fee I now consider this airline's unofficial "we ruined your day" surcharge. If you like unpredictability and paying extra to fix someone else's mistakes, you'll feel right at home here. Everyone else should book elsewhere.
❌❌❌ scam scram! I have to pay $700 just for open account!
Very bad airline. Almost every time I have flown with IndiGo, the flight has been delayed. On my recent trip, passengers were kept inside the aircraft for more than two hours without any proper explanation or updates. It was a very frustrating and uncomfortable experience. This level of service is unacceptable, and the repeated delays have made me lose confidence in the airline. Very, very bad experience. I will not be flying with IndiGo again and would not recommend it to others.
