We're sorry to hear about the high RAM usage and any perceived memory leaks you're seeing with our plugins in Final Cut Pro. Our effects (especially complex ones with heavy processing like particles, lighting, or overlays) can be resource-intensive, and we've seen similar reports tied to specific setups, large projects, or older versions. That said, 45GB+ sustained usage and post-quit leaks aren't typical or expected behavior on our end—we recommend at least 16-32GB RAM for smooth performance (more for 4K+ or multi-effect stacks), and we have optimization tips on our site (like closing unused apps, using optimized media, or checking for updates via our installer). The secondary app (our manager/installer) is there to simplify updates and licensing, but we understand if it feels complicated—we're always refining that. We're not strictly subscription-only; many products are one-time purchases too.
