Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptional customer service, noting that the staff is extremely helpful, polite, and quick to respond to any technical inquiries during printing. Many everyday buyers also highlight the impressive print quality, solid machine reliability, and careful protective packaging right out of the box.
Some reviewers were not happy with certain accessory components, mentioning recurring mechanical issues and unexpected ongoing difficulties with multi-filament box units. A few other people also felt that technical assistance could occasionally be slow, leading to frustrating troubleshooting loops and delayed resolutions for various disappointed buyers.
Max4 Issues ok so my max4 updated Sunday morning. then it was saying it needed a closed loop update and my print head shoots to the from right corner and that's its. here it is the end of Tuesday and still nothing. some reports say they were hacked others say they just don't care. this is the first time i have had an issue like this with qidi and i don't know what to do. i have tried contacting customer service to get a fix but the only thing they have said is its maintenance and it will be done in 1 day that was Sunday now its Tuesday and nothing.

Over the past two days, our cloud servers have been under attack, and we are currently working hard to restore services. As a result, some cloud-related features in the app and slicing software (such as remote sending and remote camera access) are temporarily unavailable. We expect these functions to be restored by Wednesday or Thursday. Please rest assured that this does not affect the normal printing functions or other offline features of your printer.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
I wanted a Max 4 but had just missed the sale with the free polar cooler. I contacted customer service to ask when the next sale like that would be and they graciously included the polar cooler. Talk about fantastic customer service! They also had it shipped 3 hours later. Great company.
Quick response. I have both Plus 4 and Max 4 machines. I do mostly engineering products. The print results are always excellent. I will be buying more Qidi machines as my business grows.
Customer service was top notch. I purchased two printers and although responses aren’t instant, they were helpful. I am very grateful for the help and support after sale.
I have a Qidi X-Plus 4 and I prefer Qidi filament because it is good quality and requires less calibration because a solid profile is already on Qidi Studio. Qidi's products seem geared toward engineering and practical applications more than decorative uses. I like to make my practical things look cool. I gave 4 stars because I want more color selection in ABS, PETG, and other more niche filaments. And, it would be great if you could stock in Amazon warehouses because I frequently need one or 2 rolls quickly. If qidi could fix these things, I would buy all my filament from them.
Ordered a new Max4 printer combo with polar cooler a couple weeks ago. During transit to me, prime week sale happens and the $199 polar colar became free with the printer. I reached out asking if they could apply the deal to my purchase or maybe some free filament. I knew they didnt have to but cant hurt to ask. In less than an hour, in the middle of night (central time), i got a response email stating they understood my disappointment and started the process for refund of the polar cooler. I have never had customer sevice over the web that good. 5 stars and thats without even knowing how long the product will last. Dont care now. You want my business, go out of your way and win my respect.
Customer service is very responsive and resolved all my questions. I have several 3D printers from other companies and I look forward to using my new Qidi from all the positive revues I have seen. If it’s anything like their customer service it will be amazing! Thank you
I'm still not received my Qidi hotter since June 4 2026, I even send to this people support the address to resend it and I didn't receive anything. I guess that Qidi like playing with customers frustration and for then look funny, but believe me it is not, so I have to play my card finding a better supplier with better price and fantastic customer services not like Qidi customer and support services.
My Q2 now exhibits issue with the filaments feeder line, the line continues breaking and I running out of feeder line and I send to an email to qidi support and now 5hey play with me asking kindly tell us if you need feeder line tubing, when I specifically mentioned in the email that I need the feeder tubing and olso I mentioned to send me the hotter to the address sent it with that email, but they want to play like a child and I need to work with adult people not with foolishness children.
If you looking for a printer go with prusa, bambu, anycubic etc., But qidi it is not a friendly customer services an not very friendly support.
Don't waist your money on this qidi printers they're not good at all can't produce nothing not even they example in the usb that came with it.
Qidi my best advice for you is hire a new customer services and support services from top to bottom and given then better training and better salaries maybe that is the issue, maybe they don't have a good salary and they don't care about customers problem with the equipment.
I will do a premonition Qidi will be on chapter 11 bankruptcy in 10 months I give you not passing 2028 you will be out of business if this issue aren't resolved.
This is very unfortunate after I order the parts I need with another supplier Qidi decided to send the parts I already order from someone else

We are very sorry for the frustration you have experienced.
After checking our records, we found that the first shipment was refused upon delivery. Our support team then confirmed the shipping address with you, and you requested a reshipment.
The replacement parts are now on their way to you.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
I never received the printer, I ordered it two (2) months ago. I contacted them multiple times, saying they are investigating, but nothing has changed and they have stopped answering since. No solution given. No commercial gesture. I am not the only one so I must tell you to avoid this company, even if their printers are good.
UPDATE: still no progress, they lied

We are very sorry for your experience.
According to our records, your package delivery failed, and we have already filed a logistics investigation — though this may take some time.
We also apologize that our support team did not respond to you promptly; we have now communicated with the logistics team and will prioritize resolving your issue as soon as possible.
We truly regret the inconvenience caused.
I ordered a qidi q2 together with 3 spools of filaments. The filaments arrived in 3-4 days, but the printer never arrived. After a month of talking nonsenses with their support, they sent another one. The new one also didnt arrive because the same address was now incorrect. They shipped it with ups and since ups is us based, i can’t make an account to change or update the delivery address and i also couldn’t contact a real person. I was doomed talking to that stupid AI.
I never in my life had such issues with anything ordered from the internet. I could have at least buy me some dr*gs or es*orts for the money i gave them, it would have been a better investment than getting nothing for 700 euros.

Overall, I am disappointed with the experience.
The delivery deadlines were not respected, and the parcel tracking was unclear and unreliable. In case of an issue, the commercial gesture offered did not seem very consistent or appropriate considering the inconvenience caused.
The printer itself also has several bugs, which is difficult to accept for a product presented as a high-quality machine. At this price level, I expected better reliability, better follow-up, and a more professional after-sales experience.
I hope these points will be taken into account to improve both the product and the customer service.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your honest feedback,
Regarding the delivery and potential lost parcel:
We have already contacted the logistics carrier to investigate. We will resolve this for you as quickly as possible. If the parcel is confirmed lost, we will immediately arrange a replacement or issue a full refund.
Thank you very much for your patience so far. Your comments about product reliability, customer follow-up, and after-sales service have been noted and will be shared with our team for improvement.

PET-CF Filament Review
I found PET-CF very difficult to print with
My main issues were:
• The filament is extremely brittle, even after thorough drying. It can break inside the feed path and is not reliable for unattended or overnight printing.
• PET-CF requires extensive drying and moisture management. Even when properly dried, I found it remained brittle and prone to breakage.
• The filament is very stiff and causes feeding issues in the QIDI BOX. The AMS feed rate and printer consumption rate did not always remain synchronised, resulting in excess filament gathering and tangling inside the box.
• Surface quality is relatively rough compared to other materials and often requires additional sanding or polishing. The carbon fibre content is also highly abrasive, necessitating constant monitoring
Overall, PET-CF required significantly more preparation, monitoring, maintenance, and post-processing than expected. While it can produce strong parts, I found it too brittle, moisture-sensitive, and unreliable for regular use.
Following your reply, I would like to clarify that I was not using a cardboard spool. I was using the original high-temperature plastic spool supplied by QIDI with the PET-CF filament. The QIDI BOX was also running in drying mode continuously during printing, so moisture does not appear to be the primary cause of the feeding issue.
To investigate further, I suspended the original PET-CF spool inside the QIDI BOX using the standard spool adapter, allowing it to rotate more freely. Since making this change, the filament gathering and tangling issue appears to have been resolved. So far, the setup behaves similarly to using the external spool holder on the Plus4, except the spool remains inside the QIDI BOX.
I will continue testing and monitoring whether the problem returns during longer prints. If the issue remains resolved, it may indicate that spool resistance and filament stiffness were contributing factors.
Thank you again for your assistance. I will keep you updated on the results.
Best regards,

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your detailed feedback, and I’m very sorry to hear about the poor experience you’ve had with our PET-CF filament.
A couple of notes that may help:
AMS / feeding issues – If you’re using a cardboard spool, we recommend printing a spool adapter. This should resolve the synchronization and tangling problems you mentioned. More details here:
https://wiki.qidi3d.com/en/QIDIBOX/notes-QIDIBOX
Moisture and brittleness – Our QIDI BOX features a “dry while printing” function, which helps keep the filament dry during use and improves its toughness. Please try enabling this when printing with PET-CF. https://wiki.qidi3d.com/en/filament/hard-filaments-print-guide
If you continue to run into issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team – we’re here to help.
Again, I’m truly sorry for the frustration this has caused.
Best regards,
QIDI Team
I purchased a Qidi Q2 from Qidi company and believe me I regret the purchased, this company is the worst solving shipping issues, my printer wast in California in a tour for 2 weeks, they said 5hat I will receive the printer by June 4 and never arrive I have to wait another week for it. Customer services is no good don't answer your question, help support worst I been back and forward with this company and they only offer me a 10% discount or $5.00 dollars discount.
This company is a shameless This was my first time with this Qidi company and they messedup big time they need training in customer service and training in help support, if you going to do business with this people them good luck and GOD help you.
I got an answer from Qidi company telling me that the shipping delivery take 10 days when in the order check out say 3 to 7 days so they lie the customers with the shipping, sooo shame from you Qidi,
Bad business, bad customers services, bad support.

Hi Marvin,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m truly sorry to hear about your frustration with the delivery and our support.
Please allow me to clarify: our estimated delivery time is based on business days. For your order placed on May 30, it was delivered on June 8 – that’s 10 days total, including two weekends. This is within our normal shipping timeframe, not overdue.
That said, I understand delays at any point can be disappointing. If you are not satisfied with the delivery time, we fully support you in returning the product for a refund.
We greatly appreciate that you chose to keep our printer despite the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding, and we will work hard to improve our service.
Thanks,

For anyone considering a QIDI printer or currently experiencing similar issues, I want to share my experience.
I purchased a QIDI X-Plus 3 in 2025. Unfortunately, the printer exhibited problems almost from the beginning. Initially, the “Lost Communication with MCU” error only occurred during longer print jobs, but over time the failures became more frequent and eventually affected normal operation.
Following QIDI’s troubleshooting recommendations, I purchased a replacement cable. Due to shipping delays, it took approximately a week to arrive. After installing the new cable, the issue not only remained but became worse.
As I researched the problem further, I discovered numerous reports from other QIDI owners describing similar failures. One commonly discussed issue is the printhead communication cable, which apparently underwent a design revision. However, there is no clear documentation explaining how customers can determine whether their machine already contains the updated version. My printer already had the version with the elastic retention band on the printhead board, which suggests the known cable issue had supposedly been addressed.
After replacing the cable and reporting that the problem persisted, QIDI support offered to send another cable. I explained that I had already completed the cable replacement, yet I was asked to verify the repair and provide proof of purchase for the cable. What I still do not understand is why a company is willing to repeatedly replace a cable but unwilling to address the possibility of a failed printhead board or mainboard.
The support process itself was extremely frustrating. Because of the time zone differences and the fact that responses often arrived only once per day, a troubleshooting process that should have taken days stretched into nearly a month. Ultimately, I arrived at the same conclusion many other QIDI users had already reported: if the issue is not the cable, it is often the printhead board, and if it is not the printhead board, it may be the mainboard.
From my perspective, this points to deeper reliability concerns within the platform’s design. The number of reports involving cables, printhead boards, and mainboards suggests that these failures are not isolated incidents. I have also found numerous discussions from early adopters describing serious reliability issues, including reports of machine buybacks and hardware revisions.
What is most disappointing is that I purchased this printer believing I was investing in a reliable product. Instead, I received a machine that experienced problems from the start and continued to deteriorate despite following the manufacturer’s troubleshooting recommendations. While QIDI has shown a willingness to replace certain inexpensive components, my experience has been that they are unwilling to fully address what appears to be a larger underlying hardware problem.
After nearly a month of troubleshooting, delays, and unresolved issues, I have lost confidence in both the product and the support process. I will be documenting my experience in a detailed YouTube video and sharing the entire timeline, including the troubleshooting steps, support interactions, and ongoing failures. My goal is to help other consumers make informed decisions and to provide information to owners who may be facing similar problems.
At this point, I no longer have confidence that this printer will provide the reliability I expected when I purchased it. I look forward to hearing from other QIDI owners regarding their experiences with both the hardware and customer support so that potential buyers can gain a clearer understanding of what ownership may involve.

Hi Bryan,
Thank you for your detailed feedback, and I’m very sorry for the trouble.
Please double-check that the printhead cable is properly secured – an incorrect fix after replacement can sometimes cause issues.
We truly appreciate your input and will continue improving our products based on customer experiences.
Thanks,

Since purchasing my Qidi plus 4 it has had numerouse issues which although Qidi have resoved by supplying new parts , ( a motherboard, 2 hot ends, 2 emmd cards and one mains switch assembley which I have had to fit, I am OK with that but to ask customers to fit items that are high voltage seems wrong to me but as Qidi dont have UK service agents there is little choice, My printer has now developed a soft ware issue since uploading software update 1.7 from 1.4 and I cant send prints remotely and can only print by using the thumb, drive. This printer is very good when it works but when it dosnt there are big issues in getting a repair sorted. I am so fed up with Qidis responces like send a video, send photographs send a copy of logs etc. All to no avail. I have asked several times for a refund, replacement or repair but all I get is delaying tactics. I even wrote to the chineese embassy thinking they would make Qidi honour their warenty, which I have concluded isnt worth the paper its written on. If you want to persue a claim against Qidi you have to do it via the Chineese legal system which reqires all complaints to be filed in Chineese on the appropriate forms, and if succesful the claim can be contested by Qidi in a chineese court which I would have to attend otherwise the decision would automtically go in the defendants favour. If you purchased the goods over 166 days previousley dont try to claim back via Pay Pal or other credit cards as the 166 days takes precidence over the 2 year guarentee Qidi offer. My advice NEVER NEVER NEVER buy Chineese goods unless purchased via a bonafida distributer who have repair and service facilities in the UK (or Europe Or US Etc)

Hi Linda,
Thank you for taking the time to review us. I am sorry to hear about the service you recently recieved.
Because this is a major firmware update, please try re-adding your printer in the slicer by entering its IP address again. This often restores remote printing functionality.
If the problem continues, please contact our after‑sales support team at any time – they are ready to help you quickly.
Thanks,

The only reason for the 3 stars is due to me having to waste 300 grams of PET-CF tuning and dialing in the settings in the slicer before i would print without massive ugly bulges after switching from the factory stock q2 nozzle to a Qidi 0.6mm tungsten carbide nozzle. better documentation in the store page detailing the setting adjustments needed would have been a huge help and deffinatly earned you guys 5 stars. got it all tuned now and its printing great at .3mm layer height anything thinner than that and it looks like frankly doo doo.
QIDI 回复2026-06-09
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m truly sorry for the trouble and wasted filament you experienced with tuning the tungsten carbide nozzle.
Just to clarify: our QIDI Slicer actually has preset configurations for different nozzle sizes. You can simply switch to 0.6mm nozzle under the printer settings, and the default layer height is already set to 0.3mm — no need to adjust from scratch.
That said, I completely understand your frustration, and we clearly failed to provide clear guidance on the store page. I will make sure your suggestion about better documentation is shared with our team.
If you ever run into issues again, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our after‑sales support team at:

We’re glad to hear you got it printing great at 0.3mm now.
I've put about 20 days of printing on my Q2 with the Qidi Box and am extremely happy with the machine and results. I bought the Polar Cooler too and it works well. My one complaint is the Linux Studio Appimage. It was a little hassle to get working since you have to put the port number in and then can't monitor the printer from the app or enable Polar Cooling, but only from the browser. This is a small complaint though and I'm sure they are working on it. One of my main reasons for choosing Qidi is the use of Klipper as their firmware for future proofing and they are doing a fantastic job. So they get 5 stars. I really didn't expect this level of "it just works" for the price. Well done!
The QiDi Q2 is a great 3D printer. I have printers from Bambu, Anycubic as well as DiVinci (old old) and Creality.
New technology is nice, I am very happy with the Q2 and the price. I also find the QiDi Maker slicer is much better than the Bambu - yes it is an open source copy... just done better.
No solution, never. Like a Turn off, turn on. I'm still waiting for the link for the 30-day return procedure but I'll probably have to find it myself
