Well made engines that are like the real thing and very good parts. Easy to build, though some pieces are tight fits, but that is to be expected. Highly recommended and my son is already looking for his next engine.
Nice Products Poor Service
Placed an order for an item shown on their site only to receive an email stating the product has been discontinued. I received a follow up email asking if I was interested in purchasing something else. I was not and informed them of such. I assumed my payment would be refunded automatically it was not. I had to send a follow up email requesting a refund. The item I ordered still appears on their site. If it was discontinued why does it still appear on the site? The item was purchased from another vendor and does not appear to be discontinued by the manufacturer.

Over the years I have bought several engines and numerous parts for my engine addiction. They have all been exactly as advertised with few exceptions. Their delivery times are somewhat long for some items that ship overseas, but they consistently beat their competition. As far as customer service, I purchased a Toyan engine that took me months to get around to building. It was missing a piston ring and after contacting I received the ring within a week. My last purchase was an CDI unit that was also delivered in a week. So for those of you out there with a growing engine addiction, I highly recommend Sterling.

It's a little troublesome as they have discontinued things on the web store. But have not taken it down they gave me a refund but not the full amount. (( Why did I only get a refund of USD $58.08? when I should get back what I paid for it USD $65.99. This is not good customer service. ))

The Quality and Detail on the kit is Excellent, recommend reading instructions a few times, also can look at U-tube video. Leave Spinner off until engine is assembled as you need to assemble it vertically, test fit parts as you go which makes origination easier. Would have liked the sound chip to have gone longer, as would have more impact when running the engine. Used to fly so a great display item to have, to the people that did the manufacture really Professional finish, Thank You.

Ive been told that part will be sent for me to repair myself but there is no timeframe for when this part will be sent. So far it has been a month and im still waiting. That the engine works quite well and the "free" delivery option was surprisingly prompt from factory, but the design could do with tweaking.
The free delivery option was surprisingly fast - it took maybe 10 days from placing the order to having the box delivered to home in NZ. It was the demo Stirling cycle heat engine. Yes, it does run on the heat from my cup of coffee, for maybe 5 minutes or possibly more. Certainly, I was impressed with that result and very happy with my purchase. It does all that I wanted and expected it to do. I think that the engine could do with a little redesign, as ther flywheel does rub against the small cylinder while running. The nub of the problem is that the two supports for the main axle are slightly off vertical. A bit of judicious pushing sideways on them has helped. But simply moving the flywheel to one end of the axle, and/or enabling it to be slid 1-2mm along the axle, should fix this problem and remove the sensitivity to the fact that the axle supports are not quite at 90-degrees to the main cylinder. But overall, I am very happy with my purchase, it does work quite well regardless, and I would have given 4.5 stars if that option had been available.

Good company, good products, but I think they are some upgrades to do in terms of communication, I had to follow up with them multiple times to have answers as if I didnt, they will never show up, and for me that's not a good point. Howewer the rest is perfect.

My second order is LOST and the TERRIBLE customer service department is useless in helping me get it! "Reply from Stirlingkit An hour ago If you have any questions, please contact our customer service. Please understand that we may not reply to messages in a timely manner. However, we will help you solve the problem." HA HA HA What a joke ...... I've written MULTIPLE emails to the lame customer service department with not one satisfactory answer received. I am now trying to get a refund for the order that WAS NOT DELIVERED....... No more for me!

Engine persistence
I own a Harley flathead engine and enjomor v8/v12. The appearance and workmanship are excellent, but the engine cannot last long and overheats easily.(The v12 engine has not been tested at high speed yet)
