Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear your birthday getaway was impacted by the bear activity during your stay. This home is located in a wooded mountain area where wildlife encounters can occasionally happen and are unfortunately outside of our control. We do provide signage inside and outside the home to make guests aware of possible bear activity. The property does have a bear-proof trash container, although bears can sometimes still get into them. We also discovered a standard black trash can had been left out when it should not have been, and we will be removing it. We appreciate that you followed the house rules and took precautions during your stay, and we are sorry this situation caused stress and discomfort during your trip.
