Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptional product quality and overall performance, noting that the carbon frames and wheelsets are remarkably lightweight, beautiful, and durable. Consumers also deeply appreciate the exceptionally helpful staff and responsive customer service team, who guide buyers smoothly through every single step of the purchase process.
However, some reviewers were not happy with delivery delays, mentioning that shipping times occasionally took much longer than initially promised by the carrier. A few other people also felt that certain minor details like the included rim tape or freehub friction could use some quality improvements.
I ordered a set of wheels that were supposed to ship from the CA warehouse. Imagine my surprise that 2 days after ordering, I see it is being shipped from China. I purposely did not want to place an order that had to ship from China as I know how long those shipments take.
ICAN could have at least asked me if I still wanted it if they didn't have any stock in the US warehouse.
I contacted them and they must think I'm an id1ot as they told me the shipping time from China was the same as from the US.
Well, it's now been over two weeks since I place the order and I still have not received m wheels. Their tracking doesn't even show it as having arrived in the US as yet.
I will never order anything else from them.
I ordered the aero 50s from the uk warehouse because I needed them quickly, then found out a few days later that they weren’t in stock and I might have to wait 10-22 working days for them to come from China. Even if you check now you can still buy them and pay for them even though they are not in stock. I wasn’t happy and still don’t have my wheels weeks after ordering.
A friend told me about the ICAN Aero 40 wheels and I checked out the website and a few videos on YouTube. I ended up purchasing the wheels from the website and was impressed with the ease of purchasing and the quick shipping. After about a 100 miles on the wheels, I am impressed with the ride and quality of the wheels. Great wheels for the price!
Built up an ICAN XT275 frame to replace a cracked alloy hardtail frame. The ordering process was quick and painless, and all communication with the seller was straightforward. The tracking number didn't become active for me until the package reached Europe, but I expected that this might be the case, so I didn't worry about the lack of updates.
The frame itself appears to be of excellent quality. The only issue I had is that it was supplied with a BSA bottom bracket shell rather than the PF92 that was in the item description. This wasn't a big deal (I don't have a strong preference between the two), but I ended up needing to return the replacement bottom bracket I'd bought. The frame has been great, and the build went together without incident.
Received the UCI approved wheels one week after ordering which is amazingly fast. They arrived well packaged and are as advertised. Very light and perfectly true out of the box.. I would give ICAN five stars but they have not yet responded to a couple of technical questions about the hubs.
Wheels seem to well built arrived quickly the tyre was a bit stubborn to get on.I will ask my local bike shop for some tips to put on tyres.Found your product via John Knowles on you tube his reviews seem quite open and honest.
So far so good.
the wheels came very quick in 5 days and were in perfect condition.very true.when i started to assemble the whweels i ran into two problem.
1fitting the tires on the rim was the hardist i've ever run into in 55 years of cycling.tyres were veery tight.i tried schwalbe.vittoria, veloflexand michlin and they were all the same.trhis is probably a rim problem being a little large.also the tire on my rear wheel is very close to the front deraileur clamp on my seattube.yhis might be a frame design problem
2 problem two is shimano,.itried to use my dura ace 7900 brake calipers.they wouldn't open far enought.your rim measurement if
26mm and shimano says that is the max for these calipers.br6800 ultegra brakes work fine because there max is 28mm
after over coming these problems i am satisfied with the wheels ans icancycling service
Ordered the yellow 650B all mountain frame. A couple days later I was contacted by email by Perry who explained that the painted versions took a little longer sent some sample pictures, it felt I was getting a custom frame.
Received the frame after about six weeks, two weeks later than the original timing.
The frame is beautiful and performs well. The weight came in at 2.95kg, i assume the paint and the medium size explain the difference from the quoted weight in the brochure.
Overall satisfied.
Wheels came in great shape but the finish at the perimeter of the wheels are not nice at all. Swirl marks shows clearly from far away.
Snap on rim tape came with the wheelset. I would like to suggest ICAN should apply the tubeless tape on all the clincher wheelsets even the end users do not install tubeless tires.
The purchased part has yielded to the assembly, the screw now the handle being too short. (Fat Bike Front Thru Axle)
La pièce achetée a cédée au montage, la vis maintenant la poignée étant trop courte. (Fat Bike Front Thru Axle)
Though I`ve not testet the product yet, Im, as of now, very satisfied with the process of buying from Ican. I have recevied the product and it looks spotless. Im really looking forward to riding my new Ican carbon fatbike-frame!
Everything went smoothly, although I was not able to track the parcel for several days. Arrived fast and in good shape. Nice set of wheels, but I have just tried them once so far
Really hard to review anything, since shipping has taken over a month (versus promised less than two weeks). Note to fellow shoppers: do not use XDB service! I paid extra USD80 for XDB service but ICAN has no control over the company. I have been givem vague and misleading promises (by ICAN) about the progress of the delivery, sometimes stating that my wheels have already arrived ”in my country” when the reality is something else. XDB tracking does not help, neither does UPS. ICAN can’t help me any further, they keep saying they have no control over XDB but as ICAN sold me the XDB service they are in charge of getting the goods to me. Wheels might be good, or who knows very good, but what can I say if I never receive what I have paid for?!?! Extremely unhappy with the shopping process with ICAN and can’t really recommend to anyone.
Bought a set of 55mm 'Fast and Light" clinchers with 350 DT swiss hubs as training/racing wheels for the upcoming Tri season.
Easy to order, faster than expected shipping. I put Conti GP 4000s on them- 23mm on the front, 25mm on the back, and there was lots of room in the rear wheel cavity of my Cervelo S2. These rims are extra wide, so I had to adjust my FSA calipers to their max to accept these wheels. These rims are a VERY tight fit with the conti's- I'd suggest going with another brand. I had to warm up my tires in the dryer before fitting them, and even after that, it still took 30 minutes per tire. I'm hoping the tires will wear and stretch so replacing a flat will get easier- right now, if I have a flat in a race, there is no chance I'm getting the tire back on.
Wheels were true when I got them, and still are after 500 km. Really enjoy the DT Swiss hubs- very quiet when freewheeling, unlike just about any other carbons I've seen/heard at races. I've put two centuries into these wheels, and they definitely make the bike faster, as climbing is noticeably easier than on my stock shimanos. With that said, I'm not sure how much benefit is from the carbon, and how much is from the upgraded hubs (likely a combination of both).
One note of caution- I could have maybe gone with the 50mm, as I find I'm getting blown around in the wind a lot more than before. This certainly isn't a result of ican's production, though, just deeper rims being deeper rims.
Overall, love the feel, the benefits, the look, and the quality. I'm not sure how long they'll stand up, but they have a two-year warranty, and certainly didn't hurt the pocket book like any North-american wheels I looked at.
Would easily give 5/5 if not for the super tight fit on the tire.
