The articulating arm, which is supposed to allow 360° videos, uses a notched locking mechanism made of aluminum. The two sides rub against each other, causing it to wear down over time. With frequent use, it probably won’t last very long. Also, the end of the arm has a hook that gets in the way when attaching the rotating table.

I contacted Ulanzi customer service and they were unbelievably helpful. Not only were they quick to offer a replacement ballhead, they were interested in how it malfunctioned. (One can assume it’s for quality control moving forward so they can prevent it from occurring again). They were polite and quick with responses.

I also teach photography and video production, so I know exactly what good lighting should be like. These inflatable LED panels are a really well-thought-out tool lightweight, easy to use, reliable, and well-built. A great solution for professional work.
I initially received the Ulanzi Falcam Maglink Quick Magnetic Buckle Shoulder Strap Lite V2 in grey instead of the blue I ordered. However, customer service was fantastic! They quickly sent me the correct blue strap and let me keep the grey one at no extra charge. I will definitely buy from them again. 100% recommended!

The clip works great with wide and thick backpack straps and the F38 plate. The only fault I found is when I put the clip in the lock position, I am still able to push the button and release the F38 and the Ulanzi plates. I’m not sure it’s a design flaw or a defective product.
Everything came perfect, just like it was pictured. The stand is a wonderful piece of equipment. Moves in all kinds of directions, and even slides on to a 1/4” tripod connector. I would have to HIGHLY recommend this phone holder to any content creator trying to up their portable game!
This little ball head is amazingly put together with lots of engineering and love. Its small, built very strong and has lots of locks so that your equipment doesn't fall off. A must for armatures and pro photographers.

Ulanzi consistently delivers innovative products and is clearly committed to ongoing improvement. That said, the pace at which new releases come out can sometimes be a double-edged sword—newer versions with upgraded features often replace recently purchased items, which can make certain products feel obsolete more quickly than expected. That aside, I genuinely enjoy Ulanzi’s products. Build quality is generally very good, and the designs are thoughtful and practical for creators. Shipping can be a bit slow though, but the products themselves have been reliable and well made. Some of my favorite items so far are the Ulanzi MG-003 Magnetic Phone Selfie Stick Tripod and the MagSafe fill light. I’m also keeping my eye on the MA38 as a future purchase.
