What people say

Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience. I returned an item unused and in original condition. ALIAS canceled the order claiming it was “used” without providing any evidence, inspection report, or photos. No refund has been issued and they have not clarified the location of either my money or the item. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and unacceptable customer service.

Excessive/intermittent delays for consignment No communication from Alias

I have shipped over 50 pairs of shoes for consignment, starting on 12/5/25. Shoes that were delivered to Alias on 12/08 are still awaiting verification (12/17) while some shoes that were delivered on 12/15 were authenticated the same day. I was told by Donna that the verification process should take from 1 to 3 days. It’s been 8 business days since my shoes have been awaiting verification and a week since I initially reached out with my concern. No one has followed up since the original email I received from Donna on 12/11, despite the countless messages I have sent. I trusted Alias with my life savings and I am getting very nervous that my sneakers are not going to be available during this peak season or available at all at this point. All I ask is for communication to let me know what is happening. I’m not sure what to do since no one will respond to my messages. Looking for a solution. 🙏

Inexistent Customer Service

I’ve contacted Alias support multiple times regarding urgent account issues, but I haven’t received a single reply. Their lack of communication makes it impossible to resolve problems, which is very frustrating. Customer service needs a serious improvement.

Too complicated

Very bad experience so far, I didn’t sold nothing, supports work like bots took weeks or months to answer my question about selling and listing items most of the time leaving you without an answer and ask you for patience. If you cut off washing label or have a missing shoe tree they will treat your item as not original and used. Asking for more photos when easy to recognize the item and take a lot of money from the sellers and buyers too. I prefer any other page to sale items rather than this.

SNEAKERS DELIVERED TO ALIAS & I HAVEN'T BEEN PAID AFTER 13 DAYS-GOAT/Alias closing down certain Overseas outlets/warehouses, so they are 'st*****g' peoples sneakers.

I sold a pair of Jordan AJ1 'shadow' Unions on Alias on the 8th Oct 2025(I am a private seller, no bots etc & i have sold a total of 80+ quite rare pairs on both GOAT & Alias), they were deadstock straight from Nike (i won them on the SNKRS app)- i shipped them out on the same day & they were delivered on the 14th Oct 2025- There was a delay in receiving my payment, so i did some digging & my sneakers were initially listed as 'Lost in Transit (I subsequently found out via research online, that Alias have screwed many customers using this label). Lo and behold though, after i complained AND PROVIDED PROOF OF DELIVERY COMPLETE WITH SIGNATURE WHICH WAS ACTUALLY ON THE 14 TH OCT 2025- they then changed my sneakers status to delivered on the 15th Oct (this is still false). My sale is now under the heading of'Investigating Issue) and it has been 12 days since the sneakers were delivered. I have contacted them many times & they do the usual stonewalling, BS and reply with: "Thank you for your response. Sorry for the delayed response.Currently, the escalation is still open so I do not have information yet but do not worry, I am constantly pushing them and I will let you know whenever they respond to your case. If you have any further questions, please respond to this email thread directly. As you can imagine, creating a new ticket for the same issue may cause confusion and further delay a response. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Wish you all the best!" I ask. what damn investigation??? HELL EVEN THE LOUVRE MUSEUM THIEVES HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN LESS TIME!! 2nd rate stonewalling is what they are resorting to... I have contacted my lawyer, (he's a friend ergo it wont cost me a cent)- i did so because around a year ago Alias tried to con me for their mistake & tried to fine me, so cue my Lawyer. The thing is, that this evening i decided to do some further searching online & i have discovered that Goat/Alias etc (they are under the same 'umbrella') are Shutting Down Several Overseas Facilities (i wont post any links here, just go do the research yourselves. So that would explain why they are screwing me (and i'm 100% many other sellers) & are attempting to steal my sneakers! They have been ignoring my constant e mails & communiques & it is clear that they will try their best to have zero accountability towards their customers & they will try to steal truckloads of inventory. Why? Simple, they are doing very bad business wise- the tariffs have hit them very hard & sales etc have dropped- so closing down various overseas outlets is because they cannot economically keep them open- and i'm almost 100% sure that they will try to steal stock that belongs to others in order to lessen their losses. I'm not a person who over reacts, BUT i would highly refrain & not do any business with GOAT/Alias- hell they didn't even have the decency to announce the closures of the overseas part & when asked by Complex to comment, they refused to get back to Complex! I now fully expect when this news gets out properly, that they will lie & bs to stonewall customers etc. SAVE YOUR PROPERTY, OVERSEAS SELLERS DO NOT SELL ON THOSE PLATFORMS UNTIL SOMETHING SOLID IS DONE. I will keep updating on my situation & im sure it will be all bad news initially until they are presented with legal papers by my lawyer.

I'm not really sure what the benefit is…

I'm not really sure what the benefit is for having the Alias app. It's kind of clunky, from a design perspective. It's also a pain to have to go between two apps to cash out or list items for sale. Also, the app is laggy and crashed a couple of times. Overall, Goat/Alias' customer service leaves something to be desired (and they all write their responses with AI).

Alias is absolutely cheeks #1 worse app…

#1 worse app to sell anything. They will reject any and everything you sell for no apparent reason, no matter if it’s 1000% authentic, and you sell it with the receipt, and a picture with you buying it at the store. They will claim some fake reason like “craftsmanship” to reject your item, then charge you a $15 return shipping fee. I’ve been charged this fee more than 50 times and not once was I provided a valid reason as to why. RUN far away and use stockx or eBay to sell. Alias / Goat are a bunch of scammers. They need to fire all of their authenticators and only allow new authenticators to verify after being throughly trained. I recently sold an item and Alias rejected it for the same bs “craftsmanship” reason, even though the pants were brand new, sealed, and 100% authentic. I’ve had this exact style in the same and different sizes, pass verification but for some reason they rejected these. After I got them back today, I checked them out with a flashlight and a UV light and they’re flawless, not a single defect, all tags and logos are intact and no loose stitching or any obvious irregularities. I’ve missed out on so many sales because of these jackasses. And not to mention the time, labor, shipping supplies and gas spent. When I think about it, their verification analysis is all discretionary and not actually based on any qualified research, aside from comparing items to a picture of the product and whatever idiot that’s inspecting our items sees. There’s no technical skill involved. No one at ALIAS has any idea what they are doing. ALIAS IS THE WORST APP.
