Beware of Fake “Mold” Claims & Hidden Fees!

ALIAS (GOAT Group) is operating a predatory system for international sellers. I sold multiple verified authentic New Balance sneakers, but they flagged almost all of them with the exact same copy-pasted ‘mold’ reason without providing a single piece of photographic evidence. What makes it worse: They automatically deducted and stole my legitimate earnings from other completed sales to cover arbitrary $10 and $60 ‘retrieval’ penalties. They force you to pay insane return shipping and customs taxes back to your home country (costing way more than the shoes’ original value). Their support team uses automated bot templates and refuses to provide human accountability or proof. If you are an overseas seller, stay away from this platform. They will confiscate your payouts, hit you with fake quality-control fees, and leave you with massive losses. Absolute daylight robbery.”

Sold one pair of shoes no issues, then

Sold one pair of shoes no issues. Second pair have been with them almost 2 weeks so I contacted them via email. Keep getting an automated email saying they are busy. Seems like they lure you in with one quick experience then are totally terrible. I’m extremely disappointed and have removed my other listings. Avoid if possible.

Stole my shoes

I sold them my shoes. They gave me a usps label even though on the site it showed ups as the carrier. They then proceeded to say that the order was canceled because there was no update from the non existent ups label. They are now saying that the email they used to communicate the information to me with is not the one connected to my account

WORST experience ever

WORST experience ever. I followed their instructions with the listing and sale of a brand new never been worn pair of sneakers. They approved the post, the photos, the sale. Then as soon as they receive the sneakers they tell me they have an incorrect sku and are charging me 10$ and cancelling the sale. If the sku was incorrect, why did they approve it in the photos? This is a huge scam and big waste of time. DO NOT SELL WITH ALIAS.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience selling through Alias. I sold a pair of Nike Kyrie 2 “Effect” that had never been worn. I shipped the shoes immediately after the sale and fully complied with all seller requirements. The shipment was then delayed by Purolator due to a railway issue, and I was later informed by Alias that the package had been considered lost. Eventually, the package was found and arrived at Alias. To my surprise, the shoes failed verification because they were classified as “used.” I provided a packing video showing the shoes before shipment. Alias confirmed in writing that the shoes in my video were the exact same pair they received, meaning they acknowledged the shoes were not switched or mishandled during transit. However, they still maintained the “used” decision. The outsole has some natural yellowing due to age, which is common for older sneakers. In my opinion, natural oxidation should not automatically be treated as evidence of wear, especially when the shoes have never been worn. I also asked Alias to explain exactly which areas showed actual wear, provide my original listing photos for comparison, and clarify how they distinguish natural oxidation from signs of use. None of these questions were directly answered. Instead, I repeatedly received generic explanations about their verification standards. The verification photo they provided was also dark and unclear, making the outsole appear much dirtier than it looked before shipment. After spending considerable time providing evidence and communicating with customer support, I was ultimately told that I would still have to pay the return shipping fee if I wanted my own shoes back. I understand that marketplaces need strict authentication standards, but sellers also deserve transparent explanations and clear evidence when an item is rejected. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with very little confidence in selling through Alias again.

Unable to cash out, Alias support not repsonding!

Unable to cash out without any prior notification that my account had been frozen. They still allowed me to sell until I realized I couldn't cash out, and my money is still stuck in the account despite an email being sent to support. There has been no reply for more than 2 weeks

£1,300 stuck – no support response after multiple tickets

I have been a seller on Alias for several years. After returning to the platform, I have £1,300 in pending earnings I am unable to access due to a phone verification issue — the app requires a code sent to an old number I no longer own, and there is no way to update it without first verifying via that same number. I submitted a support ticket on Saturday and followed up on Monday. Despite this, I have received no meaningful response — only automated replies. I am now escalating formally and would urge Alias/GOAT Group to contact me directly to resolve this. I would be happy to update this review once the issue is resolved.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience. I contacted support about an issue preventing me from withdrawing my funds, but it’s been over a week and I still haven’t received any response. Meanwhile, I have over $500 stuck on the platform. The problem is related to the DAC7 form, which I can’t even open properly in the app (it just shows a black screen), and without it I can’t access my money. Customer support being completely unresponsive in a situation like this is unacceptable. I expected much better.

Hello

Hello, Alias management, please note this is a serious matter. I sell shoes through Alias while in Thailand, and you are not issuing tracking numbers, customer service is not replying to my emails, and contacting you is extremely difficult. I am very disappointed. As a result, I have sent numerous emails to you regarding orders 882094637, 518293653, and 345429208, but have received no response or resolution, causing these orders to expire. I have received fines and points deductions from Alias, which is very unfair. Order 373063255 was sold to Alias, but the money doesn't seem to have arrived in my bank account. Please check. My account number is: sean2rainie. I hope you can refund my points and not deduct the 10 $, as the problem is not that I refused to ship the goods. Thank you.

Do not sell on goat/alias

I sold a pair through Alias that failed verification for “box not fresh / badly damaged,” despite the shoes being fine and the box flaws appearing to fall within Alias/GOAT’s own guidelines. The bigger issue was what happened after the fail: • Support responses took multiple business days • Replies were copy-paste and didn’t address the specific questions I asked • Everything was deflected to a vague “warehouse decision” with no photos, no detail, and no appeal I also tried to discuss this in the official GOAT/Alias subreddit, but posts about seller experiences like this are removed and redirected back to support, which means there’s effectively no public forum for sellers to compare experiences or flag issues. Whether this is inconsistency, subjectivity, or just poor seller protection, the result is the same: sellers carry all the risk with zero transparency. I’m posting this so other sellers factor in: • Subjective verification outcomes • Long support delays • No real dispute or appeal process If you’re selling on Alias/GOAT, document everything and understand that once the warehouse flags your item, you have no recourse.

I bought a Fear of God hoodie on GOAT…

I bought a Fear of God hoodie on GOAT and sold it on ALIAS (GOAT’s platform for selling) but when they got it, they said it couldn't be sold because of scuffs. I got it from them, never wore it and sent it right back to them in the same packaging. Then they charged me for shipping. These sites are horrible. NEVER use them!!!! Way more components here that add to their unscrupulous practices and horrible customer service that are too many about which to write. Just don’t do business with them!!!! EVER!

Don’t ever ever ever use this service

Don’t ever ever ever use this service Two authentic items returned one due to a smell that took 7 days to get to them ummm 🤔 Charges for a £96 item - $43 by alias. The DHL return cost £86. Not once but twice on two different items. I’ve never ever seen something so outrageous. DO NOT USE EVER!!!

Rrrtt

I said it was a damaged box, I don't know what they must have done. I said it was a damaged box, and these pricks must have manipulated the system, changing it to, like, a good box. And then, it got flagged for being a damaged box, a destroyed box, when I clearly said it was a destroyed box in the first place. And it got sent back. Twice
