I really appreciate the responsiveness and follow-through of the Artspan team. I've needed help a few times and it's easy to utilize their support feature to ask a question or describe something you are trying to achieve. And, then they work with you to reach a successful outcome. I'm very glad I'm using Artspan's platform and services for my artist website!
Customer service has been wonderful for technical issues, policy questions, shipping questions. The response time is very quick, and always my questions are answered professionally and thoroughly. Madelene is exceptional. She is very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, always answering with kindness. I like all the options available for setting up a page that suits the artist. The program is easy to learn and very effective, in addition to providing a pleasing, viewable, and very readable layout.

These folks are so helpful and gladly so. this is the easiest web site builder, no struggling, super practical and offers all that you need. if you have issues, who doesn't, they respond usually before the day is out.

I am canceling my artspan web provider service mostly because they are to expensive for my needs. Great site if you can afford it. As I am canceling the site I want to switch over my domain to my new less expensive company and instead of an authorization code which I emailed them for earlier today, they decided to CHARGE me again for the domain name that I am now transferring to someone else. This is typical for ARTSPAN I had a similar problem almost a year to the day last year with them double charging for my site.
After 15 years of service to this particular member, this review is very disconcerting. I have addressed this in email(s) to the member artist, but have not received any further explanations or complaints. This member then moved to another provider offering a more basic package. We are happy they found a provider they are happy with, but to compare us with them is a real apples vs oranges type exercise. We did address the financial issues. We have NEVER overbilled anyone to my knowledge and, where very infrequent mistakes are made, we have corrected them immediately. In this case, no mistake was made as I explained to her, with details. But she had already moved on. And was apparently not interested in correcting the impression left by her "Squeezing the last dollar" message.
Very unresponsive on technical problems. Artspan does very little for exposure for artists, next to nothing in fact. Everything is done within their website. They don't do social media. When there is a billing problem or technical issue (which is pretty common) they are slow to respond and not friendly. Their customer service is pretty bad. I had multiple repetitive problems with getting my domain name connected to Artspan. (It never did work) They were not helpful, even though I was paying for their top tier most expensive service. Their website is also quite clumsy and not as user friendly as it should be. I would not recommend them to artists at this time. Edited to add this quote from Artspan's response: " It is easy for visitors to find work they like." That sums it up. They do not work for artists, they work for the buyer. They are buyer-centric. Artist think they will be promoted, but very few are. It seems random who is. They take the money from the artist and do very little promotion. I have never even seen my work in the AS marketplace in 12 months time, despite paying Artspan over $30 a month.
Hi, We do our best to help everyone but we may not be successful in getting all problems resolved when the nature of the problem has not been adequately explained. I am confused by the reference to multiple problems, especially tech and billing issues "which are pretty common." If you let me know, at [email protected], the specifics of some of the problems, I will look into it personally. We have been having issues from time to time with domains. We are a reseller for a large domains seller. I wish I knew the specifics of the issue. I will speak with our domain expert as she may remember the circumstances surrounding your experience. That company we deal with is not very helpful and we will be looking at other options. Again, my sincere regret for any problem you have experienced and my hope that we can resolve this in a satisfactory way. Just shoot me a quick email. We are also working on the marketplace - we need to promote that more. And please remember we are the only company to add the marketplace platform to the individual sites. It is the marketplace that makes it easy for visitors to find work they like. Thanks for pointing out that we are buyer-centric. It is in the artists' interest that we appear buyer-centric as we are engaged in the sale of our member artwork and thus need to anticipate buyer needs. Incidentally, you need to tag each artwork that you want to appear on the Marketplace. If all of the many 1000's of images appeared on the Marketplace, there would simply be too many images in the results rather than a good sampling of each artist's work. I've used Artspan for many years and have always been impressed with its ease of function and prompt, professional support staff. I have had few problems over this time, but when they occur I know that they'll be quickly resolved. They're a first-class service on every level, and I highly recommend them.
The team responded quickly, addressed an out-of-the-box issue, resolved it, and followed up to verify that I was satisfied with the outcome. It was easy to set up my website and get up and going within a short timespan. Also, customer service is prompt and thorough, giving easy to understand directions.
As with many artists, my technical knowledge is pretty basic. Even so, I do try to solve problems myself. But this time, I was in the weeds, so I asked Artspan for help setting up a new email for my website. Madelene was fantastic; she explained things clearly, and she was patient and helpful when I returned more than once with additional questions. Absolute best customer service by far. I contacted Artspan by email on a Sunday, hoping for a reply on Monday. I got a response from the founder in probably about five minutes. I explained that I have a Brain Injury Disability and I rely on simple routines and when I came to a part of building my site my brain was having a great deal of difficulty. Just imagine learning something new and it taking five times longer then a person with an uninjured brain plus all the symptoms I get. Not only did they respond quickly but they ended up doing the portion of the site that I couldn't figure out. I am so grateful I decided to join this site and I look forward to working with them in the future.
Artspan.com is amazing. I accidentally called Artspan. org and could never get a response. I finally learned I was calling the wrong Artspan. I have had great service from Artspan.org and I am a rookie at building an online gallery. I would highly recommend Artspan.com to others like me who are roomies at marketing our art.

Ordering from Artspan online gallery and Marketplace was easy. I was able to search for specific style of artwork and found a beautiful piece to order for my parents anniversary. The artwork was received and they were thrilled with it.
I have tried to contact artspan over the past three weeks. I am a member with the most expensive option because I am new to this and am working with my husband's artwork. I really need help but can not get them to return a call.
Have just learned that the reviewer intended to review artspan.org but reviewed us by mistake. So this will be cleared up and the reviewer has promised us a new (and very positive) review.
