An insurance company that treats its clients like fodder, and this is the reputation that Assurant has built for itself over the last few years. From the reps treating you like a number, to the company itself having a very wish-wash policy on claims, this company needs a reform post-haste

This has been the worst insurance…
This has been the worst insurance company experience. We put in the claim July 5th and they keep giving us the runaround. We fill out the form they say they received it and to give them 24hours and then we call and they have no record. At this point we have done this 4 times and we are going on 2 weeks! This is absolutely unacceptable Claim number 80581621 You have the phone number

Assurant, not so assuring, Don't pay extra for expedited shipping
Companies like Spectrum and T-Mobile use third-party insurance groups to protect things like smartphones. It is a huge mistake to insure your phone this way. If you are using an iPhone, get AppleCare instead. I had the unfortunate experience of trying to get my damaged phone repaired or replaced. There is no way to deal with a local office- Spectrum does not provide support on the premises, so you must do everything online and wait for a replacement by mail. There is a substantial deductible for replacement or phone repair. It was 200 dollars in my case. In addition, I asked for expedited mailing to receive my phone in two days rather than 4 or 5. I paid $30.00 more but did not receive my phone until 4 days later. I asked for a refund, and they refused to help. In addition, the replacement phone was a refurb and arrived with smudge marks all over it, and not in the bubble wrap pocket that was in the shipping box it was in. It was a huge inconvenience for us because we were on a traveling deadline and the phone arrived too late. It is so much easier protecting your phone with AppleCare if you have an iPhone. You just go to the store and get it taken care of, and without deductibles. I am not advertising for Apple but advising that this is a better way to deal with protecting items like smartphones. I will never use the third-party insurance group again. This group does not put the customer first; it puts its bottom line first. That is why I am speaking up. Perhaps I will save you some trouble, and perhaps they will provide better service or lose more business.

Filling a claim was fast and easy
Filling a claim was fast and easy. I loved that we could recieve same day repairs close to our home. T Mobile staff was friendly and helpful. Although the repair shop was easy and fast, they were not friendly, but I understand they do not represent T Mobile.
