Excellent quality and communication from Babylon Leather. Bought 3 kits with one being a full custom order and the whole process was flawless. The custom kit took a tad longer due to the special color and full leather contrasting lining but that was to be expected for all the extra work. I have made many DIY bag sewing kits and Babylon is by far my favorite. My first kit was actually a customized kit where I chose the leather type and color as well as the interior leather and color. It came out lovely and the customer service team is top notch! So excited for the next kits I will order!
I bought the Baguette Bag in Green and found the whole experience really enjoyable. My order was received about a month after placement (to Australia) and arrived well packaged. The quality of the leather was 1st rate and the colour of the Green was exactly what I hoped. The hardest part was sewing the corners of the base to the sides, front & back pieces. The zip was challenging but the 2nd side seemed easier than the 1st. My husband helped me with the tiny screws and tightening them onto the handles and front clasp. I will definitely purchase another leather bag kit and the assistance I received from Lloyd was quick and responsive to my questions. Thank you Babylon Leather for your excellent customer service.
Product is good and what I expected but wait time of a little over 4 weeks is too long. PR code on invoice for instruction video did not work. The kit for the Birkin bag was actually made in China.

It was a wonderful experience, I really wanted to have a leather bag and making it myself was the cherry on top! The costumer service was always fast and kind, and I can't wait to get another one!
I ordered 3 bags, and all 3 have excellent leather, and several people have commented on the quality. The bags are wicked easy to sew, and I finished 2/3 in less than a month (more on that later). The thread was very high quality, and was covered in beeswax? to give added support and didn't break. Any major issues or irritation I had were skill issues. "The problem was between the couch and the bag" as the modified IT joke goes (OG joke: problem is between the chair and the keyboard...ie, the human) Lloyd from support was amazing, 11/10, all the praise (CEO give this man a pay bump!). I initially emailed him coming in a little hot, since I was used to not so good customer service. He dealt with my initial irritation wonderfully, and was very easy to work with, even offering to split the order. The issue was resolved without any major hiccups (Once I realized that these guys were good, I stopped being a Karen and apologized, don't cancel me!). I also had a slight issue with one of the bags not having a leather strap, and I didn't find out about it until I almost assembled the bag. Lloyd was great about my mishap, immediately shipping another one. What I will tell anyone reviewing, and this wasn't a problem for me at all, just letting everyone know is that emails are responded to at approximately 6a, so if you're having any pertinent questions or issues, get all your ducks in a row and wake up early for best results! Again, not a problem for me at all, and Lloyd WILL respond, so any customers, please be patient! All in all, I definitely recommend the company. I work in healthcare (despite the earlier IT joke) and have recommended Babylon to several nurses and people in my department. If you want a quality bag, but don't want to pay luxury prices, this is the company to go to!
I ordered the Birkin-style hardware set to incorporate it into a crochet project. The delivery took a bit longer than expected, which was why I reached out to Lloyd from customer support. I shared my concerns because the package seemed to be stuck from what I could see on the tracking page. I got a very quick and VERY nice response reassuring me that my package is on its way and hopefully arriving soon. Lloyd took the time to really check the tracking number himself and sent me a screenshot, because the site that he was showing showed more updates about the shipping process. Very soon after that, the package arrived. This has been the best experience I have ever made with a customer service!
