I have had good experience in the past…
I have had good experience in the past with Bikeflights but this one was different, probably due more to UPS than Bikeflights. The box had obviously been opened on the first stage. One of the side panels had been reinstalled upside down. The end flaps on the side panel were on the outside of the box instead of the slot in the end panel. (I had been careful to install the flaps in the end slots). More importantly, the wheel sleeve and the cardboard frame for the front fork were missing from the box so I had no protection for these items on the return. The box had been heavily taped during its journey and several of the corners had received damage and were partially coming apart. The return stage went better and fortunately the bike was not damaged.

BikeFlights has a good reputation. This is my first time using the service. Setting up the order was a lengthy process. A lot at stake with a beloved old bike, and I am patient. Budget an hour. It took 8 to 10 calls before I reached live help. But when I reached Patricia, she was great. Could not have done it w/o her patient live help. Drop down choices for where to drop off shipment were misleading/incorrect. Patricia noted that the drop down choice I made was not possible and we fixed this.

Website wouldn’t let me insert a ship…
Website wouldn’t let me insert a ship to address. Struggled with this issue a long time. Only worked when I omitted the addressee name. That’s not the way an address normally works. If you don’t want to change your current practice, why not hard code an explanatory text on the address page, so customers know what to do?
