Box was damaged and not securely stapled either. When trying to assemble the staples on one of the side pieces came right out. The lid was damaged and I had to tape the box together
Hi Daniel, I’m sorry to hear the box arrived damaged and that you had trouble getting it assembled. That’s certainly not the experience we want you to have. If we had heard from you when the box arrived, along with photos of the damage, we would have had an opportunity to look into what happened and see what we could do to help resolve the issue. We understand that discovering damage when you’re trying to get packed and ready to go can be frustrating, but having those photos and the opportunity to address it at the time is important for us to be able to investigate and work toward a resolution. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and apologize for the inconvenience. - The Bikeflights Team
This is an important process when you a transporting your special bike. They handle everything professionally and with care. Commitments are kept, shipping and receiving is always correct, no delays, not problems.
Instruction videos to ensure that labels were correctly affixed and what to do next, were really helpful. Other than that, just having the bike be delivered quickly and for a lower price than I could get from any of the major carriers myself, was everything I could ask for.
Good use for shipping
GREAT PRICE!! Was shipping a bike and wheels in two packages. I was quoted $780 when I went in to UPS. Cancelled the order and went on the Bikeflights website. Bikeflights was just over $200. And this was shipping thru UPS. MASSIVE SAVINGS! Website was quick and easy to use.
This is a fantastic option for shipping your bike, at 1/3 the cost of regular UPS rates we were pleased beyond that someone suggested Bikeflights! Everything went great and the bike arrived a day earlier than expected and in perfect shape!! We will be spreading the word and definitely will use again if needed!
Firstly my bicycle box was literally split in half. Customer service wanted to do very little to help with the damage or missing components. They asked for excess photos and documentation down to a receipt for an $11 voile strap I purchased half a decade ago… To add insult to injury they then sent me an email that UPS had audited my package and claimed the box was 1” over my stated width and I would receive a charge for an additional $48. I immediately reached out to customer service of this matter as well. They suggested I send over more gratuitous proof that my box was infact 11” wide and not 12” wide but then admitted “UPS is currently not accepting appeals so you would have to pay regardless”. This has been a terrible experience.
UPS was so rough with the box it cussed damage to the bike frame I snipped. It was well protected in side the box too. I’ve been shipping bikes for 20 years now.
Very fast shipping. And very reasonable pricing on shipping.
This was my first experience with Bikeflights and it couldn’t have been any easier! Very simple and straight forward directions and my hike arrived on time. Thank you.
Totaled my 2 month old $7k bike. Currently in the claims process from hell.
The primary concern I have are the high costs of shipping. Shippers in the Central Plains states and other rural areas are affected the most by rates based on weight, dimensional weight premiums, and distance. In an industry with already slim margins these higher costs are definitely a competitive disadvantage. Another item of note are increased transit times. The distance for my shipment was approximately 490 miles, and the transit time was 5 days. That seems excessive to me. To sum this up, it appears to me that shippers are paying higher costs for decreased service, and that isn't right.
Hi Bill, Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand your concerns about shipping costs and transit times, especially for shipments traveling from more rural areas. Shipping rates are determined by several factors, including package weight, dimensions, distance, and the carrier's pricing structure. While we work hard to negotiate competitive rates for our customers, these carrier pricing factors are outside of our control. We also understand your concern regarding the five-day transit time for a shipment traveling approximately 490 miles. Transit times are based on the carrier's network and service levels rather than mileage alone, and we recognize that they don't always align with customer expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working with our carrier partners to advocate for competitive pricing and reliable service. Comments like yours help us better understand where improvements are most needed. - The Bikeflights Team
Easy to navigate website and purchase shipping.
Outstanding in every aspect 👏🚴🏼♂️💪🏾 The Box The videos The customer support The fair price From any aspect / angle it’s well thought and so customer centric Big WOW
The "adjustments" imposed by the carrier come long after the box has been broken down for recycling. So the round trip shipment that was $190 is now $400 - has happened 3 times in a row and since the box is gone I can't prove I measured correctly. No longer using anything other than a hardcase as those can be disputed with the carrier. Really messed up system.
Hi Sharon, Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it is to receive a carrier adjustment after a shipment has already been delivered. Carrier billing adjustments are made by the carrier after they remeasure or reweigh a package within their network. While these adjustments are outside of our control, we know they can be difficult to dispute—especially if the box has already been recycled. To help avoid this, we recommend taking a few photos of the packed box before shipping, including a tape measure showing the length, width, and height, as well as a photo of the package on a scale if possible. This documentation can be invaluable if a carrier adjustment needs to be challenged. If you believe any of the adjustments on your shipments were incorrect, we'd be happy to review them with you. Please reach out to our team with your shipment details so we can take another look. - The Bikeflights Team
