If you haven’t signed up for this insurance company don’t look any further! We have our insurance for over 5 years now, and recently I had to file 2 claims for my cars, I have to say, their customer service is great! , no delays or playing around, this is a very serious insurance company, very professional and doesn’t give you headaches or unexpected surprises. Kuddos to Demien, Sherri Falkenburry and Anthony Butera for all your help and great customer service, you made my process so easy and smooth.
I was unsure what insurance carrier I should choose for my newly purchased house and to insure multiple vehicles. California Casualty was recommended by several law enforcement co-workers. Nine years later.. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Great rates and top notch customer service.
**don't recommend this garbage insurance company** I just got my policy renewal. I added a 2002 suburban LAST MONTH to my policy. They increased it by $400 a year on my renewal. They are assuming that I am driving 11k miles a year. I already have a commuter that they put 12k miles on. I have only owned the suburban 1 month, and it is a SPARE CAR. And it is currently non opped and has been since I purchased it. It also has not been driven in 5 years prior to purchase. They refuse to lower the annual miles on it without proof of my milage reading. So basically, they are wanting me to drive a non-registered car on California roads to get mileage readings from a shop even though due to repairs it's not ready for smog and registration.
We understand your frustration with the recent increase in your insurance premium. It's never easy to see a significant jump in costs, especially when you feel it's not accurately reflecting your usage. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will look into how we can better serve your needs.
The customer support and service are outstanding! Helpful and prompt, ensuring that I had exactly the coverage I needed and checking to ensure my other vehicles were covered as well.
Every person I deal with is professional, understanding, outstanding, reliable, informed and polite.
We were in the area of the Line Fire in Highland CA on September 8th. The fire came to just behind our house. The firefighters did a back burn and saved our street. Cal Casualty staff called to check on us. It meant a lot to us to be that cared for!
I have had California Casualty since I was 24, 50 years ago! We have home owners insurance and car insurance, and have been very happy with their service, their rates, and their follow-through on claims!
It is always a great experience dealing with California Casualty
Company is garbage. God forbid you have a car accident after business hours or on a weekend. There is no one there to answer your calls or questions. Now my mortgage company is complaining saying this company has a low grading and won’t accept them as suitable coverage for our home insurance. Get other quotes and move along.
We understand your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We strive to provide excellent customer service and are disappointed to hear that you had a negative experience. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services.
Inez is friendly, knowledgeable, and great to work with.
In my most recent experience, I had a slow leak in my bathroom. By the time it became visible, the bathroom and adjoining bedroom were affected, and tests revealed that both rooms had asbestos. The first thing we did (after calling a plumber) was to contact California Casualty. As always, they were friendly, efficient, and fair; and they kept in contact with us every step of the way.
Everyone at CalCas is always so friendly and helpful!
Info request I called to request info be sent to my earthquake coverage. I also requested a digital copy of our auto insurance. Both items were attended to quickly and efficiently.
Service has always been prompt and fair! We have nothing but good to say about this insurance company. We have been with this company for years!
As public servants, we were loyal California Casualty home and auto insurance customers for more than a decade. Then, after my husband had two small fender benders over a period of a few years, they dropped our car insurance with hardly any notice—no email, no phone call. I'm shocked by the way they treat loyal customers. We stuck with them through some big rate hikes and told friends about their public service discount. Never again! Now I'm telling everyone I know to avoid this company.
We are so sorry to hear this! We value our customers and sincerely apologize for letting you down - and not providing the service you deserve. If you'd be willing, can you please email us at [email protected] with your name and policy number so that we can have the management team look into this to see where we failed. We appreciate your loyalty over the years. Your time is valuable, so thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Again, our apologies. Kindly, CalCas
We commenced with CalCas in March 2023. The broker who dealt with us was very helpful and things went relatively smoothly in the first year, however the broker left not long after and any phone calls we had with CalCas were less than stellar. Still we had no claims, so there was no real issue. Fast forward to March 2024, when our house insurance premium went up by 43% and our vehicle insurance went from $270 a month to $467! That was ridiculous. In the end we went back directly to our original insurer (who was underwritten by CalCas anyway) and got back to only a small increase over 2023's premiums.
We understand your frustration with the recent increase in your insurance premiums. We strive to provide excellent customer service and are disappointed to hear that your experience has not met your expectations. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services.
I am a retired California Deputy Sheriff, chose this insurance as it was recommended by PORAC. After my monthly premiums went from $283 to $393 starting next month I will be shopping for new insurance. Called to inquire about the 38% increase, no tickets, accidents, or claims ever, seemed a bit excessive to say the least. Not only a retired law enforcement officer, also a combat war vet, and they now say I qualify for senior discounts at most places. I was offered a deal, $32 less a month if a doubled my deductibles. Thanks but no thanks!!
Hi Paul, We understand your frustration with the recent increase in your premium. Unfortunately, state-wide increases in California have affected all CalCas policyholders - and most California drivers, regardless of insurance carrier. Our goal is to provide competitive rates and exceptional service to the community heroes, like you, that we serve. We apologize that the increases have impacted you. Sincerely, CalCas
