Purchased two SUP boards in the sale from carracks.co.uk. Items were then shipped from a sister company in Dublin thus meaning Duty, Vat and a handling charge were added £150. Site is setup as a UK entity and no mention was made of shipping from Ireland or additional charges. Support was useless and none of the three companies in the family answered the phone. Stay away if you’re in the UK.

Changed my car so needed roof bars to fit. Halford were totally useless, and searching online was frustrating and difficult to get the right wording to find the right product. The CarRacks website came up in one of my searches. I was sceptical at first because of the obvious name, thought it might be a false site. So pleased I pursued with them, site was easy to use, prices looked too good to be true (another warning). Placed order from a clear picture of both the roof bars and the rails I needed to attach to for clarity of correct product to purchase. Very easy payment. Online confirmation was immediate and delivery was rediculously quick. Would highly recommend company. First class.

Very disappointed with my experience. I purchased an Aqua Marina Paddle Board and only discovered after shipment that I was expected to pay additional customs charges. There is no email address or phone number available to contact the company. The only "Contact Us" option on the website has been showing an error for the past three days, preventing me from sending a message or getting any assistance. Unfortunately, neither was the case here.

£86 customs charge I ordered a Thule roof rack from CarRacks.co.uk for £326, believing I was purchasing from a UK-based website. After placing the order, I received an email advising that the item was being shipped from Ireland and that I might be liable for customs/import charges. I have now been asked to pay £86.21 in additional charges. The main issue for me is that I wasn’t aware when placing the order that the item was being dispatched from Ireland or that I could be liable for an additional £86.21. If I had known this at the time of purchase, I would not have gone ahead with my order.
