I don’t always leave reviews but felt the need to after reading a few negative comments. Our experience has been the complete opposite. Bars and feet were delivered within 5 days. The quality of the bars & feet and value both exceptional. The fitting instructions were easy to follow, so much so my young children helped in the process! Our total order value was below the tax limit so this may have helped with the delivery. My top tip would be not to leave ordering to the last minute - give yourselves 2-3weeks in case of any delays at customs.

Great roof bars at a good price. Delivery not the fastest, but not unreasonable. Fit my car perfectly and have been used regularly for my kayak. Would recommend and eould buy from again without hessitation, as long as you dont need next day delivery.
Don't order from this company
Don't order from this company. Unplaced an order stating 2 to 3 days delivery . Hadn't heard anything so emailed them. They said they don't have the item in stock and can't tell me when they will be in stock so gave me a refund. Doesnt help when you need the roof bars for a roof tent for a family holiday. Ordered some Thule ones from somewhere else.
Great roof racks
Quick delivery, good reasonably priced and the fact that I put my registration number and it bought up the right roof racks for my car. Easy to fit and yes I’ve put stuff on them and they held strong. Just what I needed. Instructions were clear and easy to follow .
Roof bars for my car
Roof bars for my car. Excellent quality, very easy fit if you follow the instructions (which are clear to read). Only downside is these particular racks don't have a quick remove option, but I figure that's why they are so steardy. I got the heavier duty ones but I probably didn't need to. Good delivery time scale, the tracker was hit n miss so was worrying, but delivery was prompt. Car Racks I would recommend.

Ordered roof bars for a 2002 car
Ordered roof bars for a 2002 car. Did not realise and it was not at all obvious (or possible to find out) that I had actually ordered this item from outside uk (Ireland)! ….until I got email a few days later which advised I would have customs duty to pay! I would never have ordered if I’d known this. Miraculously when it did eventually turn up (slow delivery) no custom charge was made. The item itself was as described and fits perfectly. But thank goodness there was no customs to pay and I did not have to return this item for any reason.

Do not use this company if you are UK based. This company uses a .co.uk domain and has a UK address and says VAT is included. However, if you order from them. It is shipped from Ireland and you will have a customs bill for unpaid VAT!!!!! This is a scam. Do not use!

Buyer beware. They are NOT a UK based business and you WILL be hit with customs, handling and other fees if you order high value products from them outside of Ireland. Otherwise, yes, postage was prompt and the product is as advertised.

Very disappointed – unexpected £68.67 customs charges I am very disappointed with this company. My 17-year-old son placed an order with CarRacks, and we were subsequently charged £68.67 in customs fees (£9.14 duty and £47.53 VAT and £12.00 handling fee). It was not made clear at checkout that significant import charges could be applied. I have paid the fees to avoid further complications after reading other customers’ negative experiences with customer support. This was an unexpected additional cost for a purchase made by my son, which we were required to cover. UK customers should be aware of all potential import fees before ordering, as the final cost may be significantly higher than advertised. Based on this experience, I would not recommend ordering from the UK.
Avoid this company
What this company does should be against the law. They pretend to be UK based and then ship your purchase from Ireland, meaning you have to pay VAT and fees before delivery. I had to pay £80 on a £300 roof rack, none of this was made clear at time of purchase.

Wished I’d seen reviews first. As many others experienced - thought was buying from UK based company only to get notification from Parceforce on import duties to be paid (only after items had been despatched). No mention of these charges at any point during sale that I could see.
Quality SUP. Great price. Arrived on time.
Our Aqua Marina paddle board arrived on time and was perfect. It was a very good price too for a quality board. I researched boards for kids and this one came up high on the recommended list so I was chuffed to get it at a good price (30% lower than anywhere else). I think some of the problems people have with delivery is due more to Parcelforce which can be a nightmare compared to DHL or DPD. On this occasion it was fine.

Item arrived after over week or so, from Ireland, still the quality and price out weighed the time to deliver. Fits my Gti Golf fine. A bit fidley to fit the cover locks, but managed in the end. There is no added charges to the UK for delivery. I would happily reccommend this company, thanks.
