I was pleased with the ease of exchanging for foreign currency and the ability to get the money quickly. None of my banks carried the currency I was needing, so it was very nice to get it another way. The exchange rate was not the greatest, but I am very happy to have the cash.

I chose to buy pesos for my trip to Mexico because the exchange rate is more expensive at the airport. Unfortunately, between the shipping charge of $20 and then an added transaction fee of $13.00 charged by my credit card company, it ended up costing me more. When I questioned the extra service charge, the credit card company said it was considered a cash advance, which I was not informed of when doing my transaction. If I had known that, I would have used my debit card. Funny, when I asked how a cash advance is done, he said I had to register my card and pick a pin number. None of this was ever done and I didnt need a pin number to buy the pesos. Both companies blamed the other and basically said I was s*#t out of luck. If you offered cheaper shipping rates, then I guess I would do this again.

My experience was excellent. The website tool let me set up budget scenarios by inputting different currency amounts. I was able to choose denomination amounts but most important, the currency was delivered to my home. My bank wasn't able to help me because of the currency I needed and they recommended I try a service like this. I wasn't disappointed. The service even allowed me to select the delivery date. CEI met all of my expectations.

My bank did not offer the type of currency for exchange, but Currency Exchange International did. Most of my time setting up the transaction was involved with setting up an account. The money arrived on time and was the correct amount.
