How Coinleder helped me get through the 1st per-wallet tax season
I've been using Coinledger for several years now, and this year was more challenging because of the new per-wallet method of tax preperation as opposed to the old standard universal methods. As a result, there was more tedious research on my end to make this transition and more help required by Coinledger's agents from both FIN(bot) and live agents. Even though FIN is a bot, it's amazing how quick and thorough it responded. Of course, it is not to replace a live agent; in which there were times I did need a live agent, at least FIN was there to get a quick possible solution in meantime. Keep in mind, compared to past years, the 2025 tax season is the first using per-wallet methodology, which delayed response time a bit. Of the live agents, Farouk was quite helpful and I thank him for all the help. But, of all the agents that helped me over the years including for the 2025 tax season, Yuri is my ultimate go to person. Like in previous years, He not only guided me, but is a damn good teacher which helped me become much more equipped to get my data for the 2025 tax season with an understanding to achieve a resolve with the per-wallet methodology. It is been helpful that correspondences between and myself and all agents remain within Messages in Coinledger, so I can go back to verify my understanding in use for issues during the present. Absolutely great experience. I had Jon, Jhessa and Yuri, all working my account. They pulled stuff from years ago and straightened out my crypto history from day 1 until today. I feel much more confident now that I’ve got a comprehensive & correct history to present to the irs. Starting the process was easy and my assigned representative was highly knowledgeable and completed my case quickly so I was able to get the information to my tax preparer well before the tax filing deadline. Based on new IRS guidance I would never have been able to prepare the crypto portion of my return without the work done by Coinledger. This was a great experience. My experience with CoinLedger support hasn't been the best experience I have had. With that being said there are so many other tax software companies to choose from. This is my first time with CoinLedger support. It seems like the support person didn't know where to begin with the information that they had on hand. I had texted support that I was using their software CoinLedger, trying to manualy move csv files from Robinhood drag and drop, getting a 403 error code in the process and using Microsoft windows 11 Defender as a antivirus only. Doesn't that sound straight forward? I have dealt with Awaken support before and have had a much better experience in response time and instant troubleshooting and resolve.

Their interface seemed to be easy…BUT
Their interface seemed to be easy enough to use, but then I actually tried to use it. Uf you are using Coinbase, then dont bother with Coinledger. Every single transaction came back with missing information. Their support had nothing useful to tell me. And because I downloaded a report [which you would have to do to see that it is missing information] they refused a refund. SKIP THIS SERVICE. It is trash.

Usable but ultimately disappointing
While the onset is very easy to use. As things start to stack up tons of issues arise with your imports and everything. I thought I got most of everything fixed. And with this software I would be able to easily integrate into TurboTax or h&r block. Reality was what work I did put into fixing was ultimately pointless. When I ended up filing my taxes, all those same errors popped up and I had quite frankly don't have the time to do it again. So what should have washed out as far as gains and losses? Pretty much just turned into me paying for my gains. Some of the information did stick before the gains and losses. But only the ones that were not given input data from me. The ones that worked were the ones that imported with all of the data from the various exchanges and wallets I used. Long story short, I wish I went with a different company. This was pretty much a waste of $40 and seems like a big scam to get you to spend $500 to get them to do your taxes.

Ive been using coinledger for years now and they always have support that responds and helps. This year i have the pleasure of working with Farouk as my support/crypto tax guide.
