I apparently signed up for this platform 2024 with a membership that was required to actually use the website. I have just found out I’ve been charged nearly $1000 from them since even though I stopped my subscription. They refuse to pay back any of the money and continue to charge my account. They no longer answer any emails. I am a uni student living out of home who works two jobs. They are a scam artist that doesn’t even have worthy products available.
Dreadful user interface. I was unable to read any of the documents I unlocked so requested a refund which was refused because I had opened too many documents. The contact form on the website didn’t work either so I had to dig out an email address to complain and request the refund. When I asked to escalate my complaint it got an automated reply saying I hadn’t responded to them so were closing the support ticket.

This is just because of their representative, Glaiza G. Horrible service. Refused to give me a refund, though she knew I was eligible for one, and refused the information that would have allowed me a refund. I only got one because I went out of my way to pull up their Money Back Guarantee.

absolutely do not recommend.
the customer service agent initially denied my refund request despite it clearly qualifying under the company’s own refund policy (what scared them away were my screenshots and direct quoting from their website—eventually i did get refunded). they said they do not allow for refunds, even though their policy states that there is a money back guarantee if you meet the requirements which most people do in the first place.
so you may ask: “what would’ve happened if a customer bit their tongue and said nothing?”
well then they would’ve stolen your money!
if you need help with getting your refund back, what i did that helped was quoting DIRECTLY from their Money Back Guarantee section on their website. if you qualify you SHOULD be able to get refunded. i’ve seen so many reviews where people are not getting their money back. if you are not, i suggest you look into emailing them and demanding for clarification or you will escalate if necessary. if it is still denied— ask them for a detailed explanation on why your case is not eligible.
customers should not have had to argue or escalate to receive what they are entitled to. improved training and consistency in support responses are needed in this company and i do not recommend courseunheroic at all. a mistake and waste of time
if i could pursue legal advice without it wasting my time i would.

Absolute trash. Garbage as a study tool and it's become "AI integrated" so it's even more slop than it was. Don't bother with this one. It's extremely expensive for something that doesn't work correctly. And they will keep your money if you change your mind.

This site use SEO (search engine optimization) to get ranked high on google, but does not display the information that is presented to the search engine. It's a bait-and-switch. Don't use it. Wish I could never be recommended it again.
They try to make it as difficult as possible to Cancel your subscribtion. Bad support, had to get a new credit card as they never stopped charging from it…

This website is run by thieves. I uploaded a document to gain access and when I saw that they were going to keep requiring additional documents I decided to delete my information from the site… except you CAN’T. There is no option to delete your own documents or account info on your own. I contacted customer service who then forwarded me to another company that I guess does the IT stuff and they required a bunch of additional forms to be filled out with even more of my personal information just to delete documents I uploaded. Then they said the request was resolved a few days later and that it would take an additional 7 days to fully delete my account. That’s not all, apparently their terms and conditions say they have an irrevocable license for your documents when you upload them, which means you can’t delete your own documents that you uploaded so they keep them forever using them to attract even more unsuspecting students to this scam website. How is this anything but theft? What a joke.

Definitely by far one of the most glitched platforms
Definitely by far one of the most difficult platforms I've had to deal with. Just for temporary access to assignments, it charges you a subscription, and when you attempt to upload documents to unlock '5 credits' instead of paying for a subscription, it puts you in a loop where you upload 10 documents and then get asked to upload another set to no avail.
On top of this, even if your documents are getting processed, some of them never do get approved and wind up being stuck with the loading animation until all of a sudden, everything just resets by itself if you either close the browser or wait after a while.

I paid for a full year of Course Hero just two weeks ago, and today when I tried to log in, my email “didn’t exist” anymore. I contacted their support and they told me they closed my account because of “suspicious activity.”
The only thing I ever did was look up questions I needed help with. I didn’t break any rules, and they never gave me any warning.
The worst part is that they refused to refund my money. I paid $143 for a full year, and now I can’t even access my account.
Many of the answers on Course Hero are already wrong or incomplete, and on top of that, they keep the money even after closing your account for no valid reason.
Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing. I do not recommend Course Hero to anyone. They don’t deserve any star. Give me back my money

Charged for a Cancelled Subcription...
I was charged for a subscription that I've CANCELLED. My account doesn't even exist anymore and when I try to log in I get an "object object" error, what ever that means. I've tried resetting my password but I have not gotten an email. This is ridiculous!
1.5?? Heck did you get that? The worst customer service. Answers quite quickly, but with horrible news and no help whatsoever. This is a very sneaky company, I highly recommend you do not subscribe to this garbage.

Please don’t use this website for your student studies! It’s a horrible website! Also, when you try cancel your subscription, they try to charge you for the entire monthly amount and they fight and refuse to refund your money. They have horrible customer service! Don’t use this website . You don’t get the access to study materials that are promised in the subscription. You either have to pay more or submit multiple amounts of your own study materials before you can access study content on the website.
