Using Caramel with Bring a Trailer
The process was not entirely clear for first-time users, and there were a few initial issues to work through. Once those were identified and understood, communication improved and everything proceeded smoothly.
When using a third party to manage a transaction between two parties, some challenges are to be expected, and overall the transaction was completed successfully.
Things to understand -
Time frame 1 to 2 weeks
Cars selling over a certain amount 50% when receive title/pickup remainder when delivery/title.
Buyer transfers fund to Caramel and Caramel handles paying seller.
Not all title transactions are the same (different state requirements)
Have your paper work ready before starting your transaction.
I’m sure theres more but this is what stood out during our tranaction.
I would use Caramel again knowing what I know now!

Clear communication and explanation of process. Riley was really easy to interact with and had a laid out the process very clearly. He also helped secure the loan in a timely manner. Five star experience.
The company made a mistake with the paperwork causing DMV to refuse to transfer the title. The company and its people moved quickly to resolve the issues immediately and followed up to make sure everything was resolved. They stood by their service and people. Great response.

Working with Alex Nelson was pleasant…
Working with Alex Nelson was pleasant and professional. He responded quickly and effectively at every point during the transaction. Unfortunately the transportation partner, Runbuggy, totally dropped the ball and never arranged the enclosed transport that I ordered. Alex got my payment refunded and the selling dealer engaged his transport broker and got my car promptly delivered. My rating would be 5 stars if Runbuggy had done their job.
I sold my vehicle on Bring a Trailer, and the buyer chose to use Drive Caramel. The process may have delayed payment by a day or so, but it definitely made me feel much more secure about the entire transaction.
