The RV was a 2025 model, but it already had over 50,000 miles on it—and it showed. The TV rattled excessively for the first two days before eventually breaking loose from its mounting bracket a few days into the trip. A cabinet door fell off on the first day, and there was a major heat issue that allowed excessive engine heat to pour into the cabin throughout the entire 8-day drive—in the middle of July. It made long driving days far more uncomfortable than they should have been. I contacted El Monte during the trip to report these issues but never received a response. That lack of customer service was just as disappointing as the condition of the RV. I understand rental vehicles get heavy use, but I expected a 2025 model to be better maintained and, at the very least, to receive a response when reporting significant problems during the trip.

I have rented a few RVs from elmonte and from other companies whenever I’ve had a problem, El Monty RV has stood behind their rental and maybe want to come back and their great customer service has made me not want to use CruiseAmerica by comparison. I will never use CruiseAmerica ever again and I will always aim for El Monte RV.

RV rattled pretty badly on the bumpier roads, but we did travel over 4,000 total miles so, seeing as how it held up through all that distance, I can't honestly complain too much. I enjoyed the on site staff at the Vegas El Monte RV location, however their customer service hotline is basically useless. They fed me false information and tried to create entirely new reservations to avoid giving me due discounts, then proceeded to tell me someone at the location had "lied to me" about what they were able to offer me. I found the staff on site to be honest and helpful. Upon return, we alerted staff to an issue that we'd been concerned about causing us additional cost after the trip. The gauges for the black and gray water were not properly reading so it always showed full, even immediately after dumping. We were NOT charged extra for this. Other than that small concern, the RV functioned well for the 3 travelers (plus 1 large dog). Ultimately, I paid what I expected to and, since we returned everything as it was given to us, we received our refundable deposit within 4 business days. The experience was overall positive. I would just avoid having to interact at all, in any capacity, with their customer service hotline. If possible, I'd suggest coming into the location in person for the best service and information. They were truly great!

The unit itself was in great shape and everything worked. However the added costs when checking out was not expected and added a lot of cost. The original quote was around $1200.00 but added cost when checking out was $195 for pick up $295 and add another $70 if you want to use the awning. These are all costs that should be included in the base cost.

Very friendly, on time. The staff are amazing and took care of all my questions and helped more than I expected. The RV was in great shape. The only issue we had was that the house battery would not charge from the shorepower which is a big deal.

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience, and it really discouraged me from renting an RV again. From the start, we had several issues with the RV. The generator wasn’t working properly, and we were unable to connect to the hotspot, which was a major inconvenience during our trip. The driver’s side mirror also rattled excessively the entire drive, making it difficult to see clearly and creating a safety concern. I contacted customer service during the trip to report these issues. I was assured the mirror wouldn’t be a problem and was even authorized to make a quick fix if needed. However, when I returned the RV, the experience took a turn for the worse. I was told I had damaged the mirror and was sent a bill for it. When I explained exactly what customer service had instructed me to do, I was simply told they “weren’t knowledgeable,” and the representative quickly ended the conversation before directing me to corporate via email. The entire return process felt dismissive and frustrating. Between the high rental cost, expensive fuel, and the multiple mechanical issues, the experience simply wasn’t worth the money or the stress. For the amount spent, I would rather book hotels and enjoy a much smoother vacation. I understand that mechanical issues can happen, but what really disappointed me was how the situation was handled. Better communication and customer service would have made a significant difference.

Booked and paid over two month ahead for a 6 weeks rental of class RV B vehicle. Arrived from australia and received a defect partially not clean ( finished) old vehicle. Nothing like the advertisement. Waterleaks in shower and roof. Wet bed when it rained. Glass parts kept comming out from under kitchen. ( previous broken glass top from stove that was not replaces nor cleaned up) been told thats it take it or leave it. No other vehicle available. We planned this trip for a long time and saved up for it. Total disapointment as we had everyday issues with this vehicle.

first day of our 21 day cross country vacation we had issues with sewage system, no hot waterfor showers,and no heat inside RV. Contacted RV support and was satisfies with their fast response all else was very good and we would rent from El Monte again and already planning next trip !! THANK YOU El Monte !!
