I’m not especially technical, so I expected setup to be difficult. It actually wasn’t that bad , but I did have to go through the instructions slowly the first time. Once everything was connected, the difference was noticeable. Apple TV , laptop and phone all run through the same network now . Previously I had vpn apps on each device and something always needed reconnecting.

I used to run vpn apps separately on a Fire TV, laptop and sometimes my phone. It worked, but it was messy and I’d forget which device was connected or not.

The whole Flashrouter team are a great bunch of people! It took a bit to resolve my router issues but Alex stuck with me and he got it resolved. I originally needed a VPN router so I purchased a PrivacyHero but it did not include a VPN kill switch which I wanted, all my fault. We sent it back and received the new one in short order. The RT-BE58 had the correct chip needed to flash to the Merlin firmware but was not listed on the Merlin support site. The Flashrouter support team did not feel comfortable flashing the firmware. So I sent it back free shipping and received the RT-BE58 Go in about a week. We then created another teamviewer session and got it all resolved! I am very very happy with the result and their support thru this endeaver! I would highly recommend any router through Flashrouter! You will not be disappointed! Thanks again to you Alex!

I upgraded from prior Flashrouters NordVPN pre configured router to secure the latest WiFi 7 technology. This review would have been a "5" but for the incorrect WiFi Password that the router was pre-coonfigured with. I spent multiple days on troubleshooting that I had not experienced with the prior router that had been pre-configured for NordVPN by Flashrouters. I have ended up with a satisfactory installation.

My VPN router needed some updating due to my location overseas. Because I lacked the more technical knowledge of managing my router settings, I finally utilized the benefit of my Gold subscription for the first time in nearly three years of service. While telephone tech support is not available from Flash Routers, the Team Viewer session proved to be perfect. I was connected with Alex and within my allotted session time he was able to adjust the settings on my ASUS Merlin R58 and get me streaming my North American content here in Europe once again. It pays to have professionals available to troubleshoot when you just don’t have the time to teach yourself anymore. Yes, I am getting older, but I remember when I used to have to write HTML code to sell something on eBay. Thanks Alex!

Wow, "Flashrouters" team is great. First of all their routers are top notch. My 1st router I purchased from them about 10 yrs ago, still works great, I bought a 2nd router just for upgrade purposes. 2nd of all, their customer service is impeccable. I screwed up by changing something in the settings, had no clue of what I was doing. They got me back and running in no time. My second router is running great, I had a few questions that I reached out to them about. They responded in record time. Answered all my questions and everything. Now I feel like a pro.

They worked hard to make the entire experience of purchase and installation as easy as possible. Support both before and after the sale was very responsive and all questions were answered accurately and honestly. Yes, you pay a little more than you might elsewhere, but it's the router flashing and knowledge they provide that you're paying for. Highly recommended.

I reached out to flashrouters support with a question during setup and was pleasantly surprised. Instead of a generic reply, they actually explained what was going on and why certain settings mattered. That made the whole process much less frustrating. The router itself has been running smoothly since. It's not the cheapest option out there , but between the stability and the support, it feels like a good long term purchase.

Used this company about 5 years ago - great, router was spot-on. Went back a to them recently for the new Privacy Hero II router and it was absolute garbage. Literally died on the second day of use due to too much traffic on their hosting site. Once that was fixed it ran for a further week before the device died completely. Support was useless, nearly as bad as this trash router. Will not use again.
